this was just a disappointing loss because it seemed like everyone came with effort and energy

Apparently Adelman wants to get fired. That way he doesn't have to stand scruitiny when the Kings don't do good in the playoffs. Last year he had a good excuse: Webber was gone. This year, the burden is on him. Also, if he gets fired, he still gets paid for this year... Perhaps that is why he hasn't been doing much coaching lately... at least it appears so.

Sadly, I doubt the Kings management will fire Adelman anytime soon. They are not really such a generous bunch. With the new arena issue on their back, they probably don't wanna spend money shopping for a coach now either. Not to accuse them of anything, but I think they are willing to let the fans suffer for a full year to save some money...

I can't take anymore of this
Sadly, it will get worse before it gets better. BUT, have faith - it WILL get better. This is going to be a LONG bumpy season. Honestly, I am looking to next season already. I have not given up on this season, I just came into it not expecting anything more than growing pains. I wanted to be suprised. So far, no such luck.

There will be changes - there must be. I do not think that they will be major ones (except the new coach) because, I believe, the major player changes came last season. I have not figured out what i think about the Peja situation yet, but he is not helping his bank account much so far.

It is going to be hard on all of us, but hang in there. Sometimes the ride is better than the destination- even with the bumps!

I'm switching my mentality...I have to shift back to the way the mindset used to be...every little victory counts, even if you only win 30-35 games this season. Enjoy all of them. Something will happen, no time soon, but something will happen personnel-wise, probably not until after the first of the year. True Kings fans are strong and will survive the losing, just like we did for 14 seasons before we had our revival in 98'.

I believe that things will only get worse with the present team. I feel once they give maximum effort and still lose they will give up. Major changes must occur before things get better. Only question is how long will the Maloofs tolerate things as presently constituted.

Just PLEASE do not let it be another 14 years!!

BTW, I am going to be an optimist and predict 40 wins and 7th or 8th place play-off berth.:D

they had effort??? bs rick. that team was so bad. this isnt about being loyal anmore, im always a kings fan but im also a basketball fan. this is just ugly basketball which is getting harder to watch every game

Really? I never thought those moves were anything but interim. Just initial moves to start over again. I never thought this team would be great, but last year's team, before the moves was no title contender either, sad to day. I was hoping to be surprised by this team. Unfortunately, I am. They are worse than I imagined they would be.:( I still think this team could play better. Not great, but better.

I'm not going to stop watching or following, but it is pretty boring and lame at the moment. Sitting in a daze at 12AM the last 3 games... blech.

Looking foward to the TNT game, anyways. I love TNT's broadcasts, especially when Sac's on. Collins/Harlan are my fav announcing duo, and the studio group is awesome every time. Along with the theme music.

We dont even deserve to be on TNT. :(

What I meant by MAJOR was from a fan / player relationship perspective. You know, the moves that RIP your heart out. Trading Doug and Webb and not having Vlade were the BIG moves to me. I do not see us trading Bibby or Brad. I would be shocked if that happened. The others have not really been here long enough for me to consider them MAJOR shake-ups. I would just figure it was in the "master plan" all along.

Peja is excluded from this since I can't seem to decide what i think about his status. Too bad I named my dog after him a few seasons ago.

Actually, I do think they had effort. They didn't play very smart, tho, for stretches.

But effort can't disguise the fact that we have just about zero athleticism on this team. And certainly no athleticism combined with skill and experience. How many teams can you name that are as unathletic as the Kings right now? That's not Rick's fault. ACtually, its not the players fault either. They can't be what they aren't.

Okay, gotcha. Actually, at this point, I can see any of the players on our team being traded. And I really just can't keep wishing we had the "old" team. I have to stick with my team and hope to see them rise from the ashes, preferably sooner than later.
