The answer is absolutely "Yes". The Kings can beat the Texas teams. As GGG said, the question should be "will they?"

If you are so convinced that it is indeed impossible, offer up some wagering odds and see who bites. Afterall, if the answer to the original question should be yes, then it follows that it is simply a matter of probability.

There must be some odds that Nowitski, Duncan, and Ginobili will all break their legs tomorrow. ;)
of couse a team "can" win both games of a very difficult back-to-back in terms of probability. even the knicks or the hawks "can" win the same back-to-back. it isn't out of the realm of possibility. but in terms of confidence, i do not think the kings "can" win both games. they have struggled against mid-level and low-level teams this season, including games during the artest-era. the kings haven't proven that they can beat the elite any given night yet, much less two elite teams back-to-back. in that sense, the kings "can" not win this back to back, because this team has nothing to weigh it against. but that's splitting hairs and taking this much farther then it needs to go. ;)

I voted no, cuz I was thinking in terms of "will" we.

BTW VF: For the hell of it, I asked the Cheddar Magic 8 ball, too. It told me to "bet the farm on it." Obviously, that 8-ball also thinks all Kings fans are hicks.;) Obviously, the fates also want me to lose everything.:p

Outlook not so good.
LOL, I keep my old Magic 8 Ball on my desk in my office. Every so often a student who drops by will ask and I tell them I use it to decide grades... I LOVE the looks they get on their faces!

LOL .... can I send my 14-year old daughter to your class ????
When she is ready for college send her on. I really did not have what it takes to teach 14 year olds. The LAST diciplinary notice I got was for walking out of a teachers inservice on building self estem in students. Told the idiot that lowring my grade scale built illiusions not self estem... Self estem comes from DOING estemable acts not Christmass presents.

I know what you mean. I was disciplined rather severely for informing my class full of self-affirmed geniuses that unless they stopped fooling around very few of them would ever work in the field that they had chosen. It was a fairly dramatic speech. One girl ran out of the class crying. Unknown to me, the university passed out teacher evaluation forms the following day. Incidently, the mean grade in the class went from a straight "C" to a straight "B" after the "get your stuff together" speech. I got into their heads. At the conclusioin of the semester, a whole bunch of them asked me why I would not be teaching the following semester. My answer would be deleted here. :)

I would probably be sued or shot in the hallway if I tried to teach these days.

You should spend the day with me and my 28 wonderful 12 year olds!!! Try explaining to mommas that their angelic geniuses are well ... not really either!

Back on topic:
My faith in this team for THIS YEAR is tenuous at best. I still believe we CAN, but probably will not. I'll be happy with a split. I am already getting excited about this team for NEXT season. Wins for the rest of this year are just added bonuses. I'll not be too upset with any loss as long as we manage to hang on until the playoffs.

SO. . . .
I THINK WE CAN, I THINK WE CAN, I THINK WE CAN ......

WILL WE?????????????????????????????????????????????????

WE have a 40% chance of beating Dallas but no chance against SA.

Tim Duncan is returning to his old form and has been looking better then ever.

There is NEVER "NO CHANCE" when it comes to bball. So, on this basis alone, I would change my vote to YES if the poll would allow. THERE IS ALWAYS A CHANCE. Slim maybe, but still possible.

We all know, the Mavs and Spurs are fighting for homecout adv. throughout the playoffs so neither game will be a cakewalk as they both need every game too. Despite the fact that they're on the road, I still think we'll put up a good fight. I remember watching a Spurs/Kings game earlier this season and bibby almost winning it for them on a last second shot. :(
