UPDATE ! WOW!! Just talked to Clippers sales folks today (9/29) and some really great news for Kings-Clips game at Staples on 6 Dec:

1. Tickets in the same section (lower level, corner) as we had in February are now only $40 each vs. the $54 we paid back then.

2. Group discount now is only minimum of 12. She has blocked off 15 seats today and I have 12 expressions of interest and 8 confirmed.

3. Will need to finalize seat count in 2 weeks or by 15 October for the December 6 game.




On a smaller scale I'm willing to help get a group together to go to another Clippers game at Staples Center.

Bajaden and I have been discussing maybe going to the Clips game on December 6, a monday. The only other time is November 25, a Thursday that is also Thanksgiving. Thats the only two Kings @ Clips for this year.

From San Diego we are also discussing going to a Suns game in Phoenix on Friday, November 12, about a 5 hr drive from downtown San Diego.

Laker games are just too expensive and seat locations are horrible for a group.

My brother and I have already arranged for our plane tickets to LA as we'll be attending the Kings at Lakers on Dec. 3rd and at Clippers on Dec. 6th. Tickets go on sale on October 2nd. In between we'll be checking out the Raiders at Chargers game on Dec. 5th. A group event for the Clippers sounds good to me.

Never been away, really. Lurked in Grades/Game threads the whole year that I didn't post. Just tried to cut back on kf.com,fark.com and slashdot while Real Life (TM) kept me super busy.

Once I complete my move to San Diego, I'll be around more, you'll get fed up with me, I promise. Can't wait for the season to start. I was already planning pilgrimage to Arco, but now Cruz got me thinking that I might see some extra games on a shorter round trip (i.e. @Clippers). Awesome.

Not exactly but for us down here Phoenix is a 5 hr drive and we just few days ago talked about driving over for Kings game in PHX.

Options are Nov 12 and Feb 13. We'll consider one of those if you would look into tickets for us?? Just in case? Lower level corner is where our group sat at the Clips game. Might be able to talk Bajaden into it as we could pick him up in Tecate on the way.

So far we have Cruzdude, Uncia03, Bajaden, stevetaebo, Mike0476 and maybe even the mysterious bozzwell for total of 8 or 9 so far. Now get discount for 12 seats together so can get the great $40 seat price pretty easily.

Well for the past two seasons I went to both Phx/Sac games here and I plan on doing the same this season again. I always find cheap tickets on craigslist and if I want to get some decent seats I pay round 40 to sit in the middle. I could look tickets up, depends on how many of you are there that plan on going?

So why not start a KingsFans group in Oregon & Portland? I'm sure there are a few around. I thought maybe 10 in SoCal and we ended up with 28 at the game with 3-4 more who could not make it. We may drive over to Phoenix for a game there this year as well and coordinate with "kingsboi" about rousting up fans there as well. Just make a new thread right here and see what happens.

I have mentioned possibly going to Blazers/Kings games in the past and it didn't generate any response. I think there are one or two other Portlanders, one I'm pretty sure moved and the others don't post often. Some of the SoCal people are among my favorite posters here though. No offense to my fellow Oregonians, I'm sure if I knew who/where you were I'd like you too.

UPDATE. Good news. There are now as many as 10 SoCal KingsFans who have expressed interest to go to the Dec 6 Clippers game at Staples Center. Now the bad news. I may not be able to go, in fact I could be out of the country on business for a two-week period sometime in November or December. I won't know travel plans until a week or ten days prior.

Given that, I'll try to firm up exactly who is going in the next week or ten days and get the tickets and set up a backup plan with one of our group to coordinate getting tickets to everyone if I suddenly find I can't be here.

BTW if any SoCal KinsFan does not have our groups T-shirt there are some 5 or 6 left over from the February game. Let me know who wants one that is going to the Dec 6 game.
