Bulls vs. Pistons 1/22/05

#1
Bulls leading Pistons by 10 in the 4th quarter with 2:45 left in the game. The longer this play goes on, the less likely it's a fluke, or easy scheduling, etc. When was the last time they were on a West Coast swing?

Yup the young Bulls are on a serious roll. good for them. They were in Utha on the 7th and played in Oakland on the 10th. Not sure what their scedual against top West teams looks like.

they went on that tough western conf road trip at the beginning of the season when they went 0-9

but i think it took the awhile to mesh together...but the kids have some game

There was also some speculation that the Elden Campbell trade might free up some playing time for Darko. First game without Campbell, and Darko is the only Piston player not to see the floor.

Granted, the Pistons probably would not have won the title last year without Prince playing a significant defensive role against Kobe, but that Darko pick just seems at this very moment to have been a relative waste of the number two pick in the same draft where 'Melo, Wade, and others came after that pick.

Skiles has those guys playing good fundamental defense, they box out, they run plays and get into their offense relatively quickly. Now that they've got the fundamentals down, their young talents can start to shine. It helps that Curry slimmed down and is pretty focused in his contract year, he's running the floor really well and I saw him pursue some rebounds tonight!

I am liking what I see from the Bulls. All that wheeling and dealing is finally seeming to be paying off.

Remember, organizations win championships... :)
