Kings 3-5 (worse than lakers) trying to have a first winning streak for the season again. It is about time. (it is actually past due but...) NBA still trying to find some rythm in general except the Pistons who are pretty scary at the moment. Kings temporarily last in Pacific and second to last in the West courtosy of NOH. It can only get better from here.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
King still in "no man's land" with mine fields all around them just trying to "put something together" and go from there. We are consistantly inconsistant (L -L - W - L - L - W - L - W). On the other hand we did not lose a game this week. Also we are 0-2 against the East at home and that has got to stop. I did not want to look at the stats but it would be interesting to see Mike's and Pedja's production in wins vs. losses.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last game we beat Utah and that is the only thing that should be remembered from that game. But then again that is the only thing that counts. As a Kings fan I certainly don't like to see any players injured but I also have no sympathy for any Kings opponent that shows up shorthanded. We have been down that road way too many times.
I will focus here on "bad" things that could be seen despite the easy win. Our bench showed once again that we can not count on it to give us anything. (4th quarter did not matter) At the moment the starters can not provide a lead that is safe for this guys. Maybe I just get annoyed easier these days but my "cursing" expotentionally increases with our bench entering the game.
Inability to stop guard penetration has goten worse this season. We play Spurs soon and unfortunately that will show how bad we really are in that segment.
And we continue to provide the opportunities for "no name" guys to have career games. In the past we could afford to do so. Things sure have changed "around here"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
We play "Bucks" tonight. Hopefully someone will tell Brad to leave the shotgun at home;). Bucks are on the 4/5 trip which should help us. They got to be tired by now. We have lost to the worse Bucks team at ARCO while having much better team than now so there are no "givens" for us.
First thing that comes to mind is - Bibby vs. Ford matchup and that is scary. The way Ford has been playing. - oh boy, oh boy.
They have some good shooters and the rule of tumb is that they will have a good game against Kings. There are several players there that have allready had good games against us before like Joe Smith or Maglore, Simmons, Redd. All in all - might be trouble.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mike - will get a nice workout chasing T.J. Did have good game against Jazz ofensivelly. Will see what is it wirth tonight.
Pedja - Much more important to have a great 1st quarter than 4th quarter. We don't want to trail early and give our bench chance to bury us.
SAR - needs to do more tonight.
Bonzi - can he put 2 good games together.
Brad - a tripple double please
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bench - has to earn any kind of comment.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
RA - please just make sure there are always 3 starters in the game and 2 out those 3 are the "core" guys.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Again Bucks are playing well but should be tired enough tonight for us to jump on them early and if the lead survives the play of our bench - we should win this because we go to Seattle next and the we host the Spurs. Chances of us winning both of those games are equal to ... (fill in the blank Yourself because it is too depressing for me).
We need this one tonight

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Go Jazz !
Go Blazers !
One LA will lose tonight:D
One will win:eek:

Actually we are consistantly dissapointing and looking at our win-lose pattern we are consistantly losing 2 in a row. Kings need some luck.

I watched them play against the Warriors last night, and one thing I noticed is that they are exptremely big! They are also fairly slow. Bogut is a beast on the offensive boards, BOX HIM OUT!!! Magloire is stout but very strong. Brad needs to flop a little bit with him, he looked pretty rusty in the post. Ford is fast but can't finish anything at the rim, let him penetrate but don't collapse too much! Redd is deadly at the corners, don't leave him!!

Should be a good test. They are a good team but beatable. Depends on what Kings team shows up.

Go Kings!!!

Quite. Think this one is doable, if for no other reason than the Bucks are on the road and may not bring their best (and really don't know how to win yet). If they start off sluggish we may be able to jump on them and get our confidence up. Don't trust us yet if it turns into a dogfight but maybe it never does if we get a nice lead early...and then never play the bench. ;)

Then up to the imminently beatable Sonics right now and we could be beack to .500...for a game until the Spurs hit town. ;)

Bucks are a real good team, have become quite enjoyable to watch too, they aren't unbeatable or anything though. I think the Kings win. I'm not expecting an effort like the Knicks game.

Bucks are very entertaining. they have three road wins already that the Kings would be very proud of (Philly/Jersey/Golden State). They mysteriously did not show against the Clippers earlier in the week. Then again, that was the 1st place Clippers they were facing.

Ford looks great at times. IMO it will be a good indication of where Bibby stands amongst point guards in the league from his showing tonight.

It would be a very good win for the Kings tonight. I've seen the Bucks play 5 times this year, and I'm not expecting a blowout.

Perhaps I am not that good at pattern recognition, but how exactly does this mean that we are consistantly losing 2 in a row ?

I think the Kings need to demonstrate progress tonight in certain ways. Progress in playing better together against a quality team. Progress in Adelman's rotation and use of the bench. Progress in establishing a leader on the court from a starter - if it's really Bibby, let's see it. At 3-5, they have been incredibly inconsistent. Progress would mean a consistent performance tonight, with EFFORT, staying within the game plan - win or lose.

It will be interesting to watch.
