Bonzi is tired of carrying this team on his back and asks others to help him carry the load.

One could be murdered on the spot for playing THAT game. Knock it off.

Under normal circumstances that Bonzi comment might have been funny, but Sacramento is not "normal" right now.

Under normal circumstances, Bonzi didn't play like this, so there was no way I could have made this thread.

Lighten up people.

I guess I'll buck the trend and not slam thesannityannex for "crying wolf."

I will, however, slam him for a lame joke; I mean, I saw this coming a mile away...

I saw it coming before I logged on to the site this afternoon; it's what some wrestling fans like to refer to as the "sledgehammer of plot."

With as great as Wells has been playing, and as poorly as his teammates have been playing, it was only a matter of time before *somebody* was going to make a thread like this; I half-expected it to be either you or Fillmoe, to tell the truth. I didn't have to use thread preview to know what a thread titled "Bonzi's Back Hurt" was about.

Uh... goodness, you made me give up on the Kings for a second there. Isn't it sad? I mean, when Ron Artest was out for a game, I was like "okay we'll still put up a fight", and I hear Wells is out, and I'm like, "we're doomed!"

But isn't it the truth, someone needs to help him out besides Artest. What happen to our stars from the previous years? Miller? Bibby? Or were they traded too, and we just didn't hear about it...

An even lamer joke:

If someone posted a thread about Duncan being out for the rest of the series... c'mon Spurs fans, you know you want to...

you scared me there for a sec, but i couldn't help but laugh.

good stuff sanity, my heart needed a jumpstart :D

What kinda implication his spectacular series would have over his next contract value ? Is his performance in this series an aberration ? Or simply he's the one, the right fit for the Kings squad, having the right skill set to complement and cover Kings relatively weak bigmen ?

The latter -- but obviously his performance is also an aberration. He's a tough, hungry battler, but he's not normally 24pts 12rebs, and I sincerely doubt anybody will pay him as if he is. Then again....we saw Jerome James get paid last year for one aberrant playoff series, so I guess anything's possible.

I view the playoff explosion as just a bonus and confirmation that Bonzi is a tough, fearless player that can come up big for you on the big stage. Not that he's suddenly a superstar.

You should tell Bibby and Brad. Those two players have been playing with less effort in the playoffs. They just seem to think that everyone respects them as experienced playoff players. Well in Brad's case its a little different because he always sucked in the playoffs so its not something new.

as i was clicking on the link to this thread, I was thinking " I just upoaded this new avatar, too!"

Sorry if this post's perhaps a bit OOT. What kinda contract he would get form the Kings, if they tink he's a keeper ? I think something similar to what Manu has right now is right for him (54 mil 6 yrs ?). But your team is certainly burdened by Brad's contract, facing the same dilemma that the Spurs have regarding Mohammed incoming new contract and Rasho current ongoing contract.

I look at it this way too. If his "value" has gone way up, then the number of sign and trade possibilities have as well. Win/win.
