Look, you can dislike Bonzi and all the other "bad guys" in the NBA all you want. I don't mind. You can hope for all of them to get banished to Siberia, if that makes you feel better. That's okay.
What is ridiculous to me is the fact that you're happy about someone's career taking a turn for the worse. In your words, you're "glad" that he's having a rough go, and it's apparently based on your disdain for him since he turned down the Kings contract offer. Whether that connection is valid or not, I think it's pretty sad that you're so excited to see someone hit the wall.
I don't think Bonzi Wells was a stand up citizen in his time in the NBA. I think he was sort of dealt a bad hand, and then did many things to make it even worse, starting with the things he did in Portland. I have, however, always felt that he could be a really good player, and I followed his career hoping that he'd pull it together, rather than rooting for it to fall apart. When he played for us, I was hopeful that he'd be able to contribute for awhile.
He was dumb to turn down our offer, said he'd been misled by his agent, fired said agent, and went to the Rockets. When Adelman went to Houston, I thought that again it might be good for him. He got traded to the Hornets, and Byron Scott didn't know how to use him. Now he's playing in China. I'm glad to know that he's not dead or in prison.
You're claim that I am standing up for or somehow worshipping him because he plays in the NBA is even more ridiculous than your declaration that "he's a bad guy and a bad player", and is on the same level as Latrell Sprewell. But it just goes to show that you don't know jack **** about me, and it explains how you can be so quick to judge someone else based on some bad decisions and mistakes made.
