it's kinda funny Burkle is from LA and wants to keep the Kings in Sacramento and Maloofs are trying to move the Kings to LA....
I'm moving to the point of "sell" or "Maloofs, get the hell out of my city". Selling is way better, but the damage the have done to me as a fan and the city is significant.
I think they'll get an extension, but a short one. It was a bit unfair to get Burkle dropped on them like this. Unfair, but masterful, that is.Hope Stern says no extension. Maloofs had their chance now sell or else.
I can't believe they said that. I'm through with the Maloofs, they can go screw themselves. Just because THEY couldn't make it work in Sacramento doesn't mean somebody else can. I'm to the point where I want the Kings to stay but I want the Maloofs to sell. Their relationship with the city is going to be ruined..

Owner on way out of BOG meeting tells @CBSSports Stern may announce extension of #Kings' April 18 deadline to apply for relocation.

"We're not selling, absolutely, you can print that," Gavin Maloof just told me. He wouldn't talk about relocation request. Stern up next.
I dont want these dbags to be the owners of my team..
Yeah right. I don'y buy that for a second.
Yup. Burkle might not be a legit buyer for all we know. It sounds too good to be true almost. But by waiting until the deadline to break the news, it causes the BOG to pause and think and next thing you know, the deadline has passed. Brilliant work by KJ. Let no one accuse him of being an inexperienced politician.
Maybe the Maloofs should go back to where they came from.
Stern has taken the podium...
The issue with this Burkle group is that at the end of the day they are not going to fund the arena themselves. It sounds good initially with a billionaire saying he will help, but its almost certain he will not put up the money by himself. There will still need to be a huge chunk, 100s of millions, coming from the public. I don't think you can get that for any city in Cali right now. They also know that the Maloofs won't sell. To me, all this is just more of a show to create doubt and mess with the heads of the Maloofs so they will have second thoughts about filing because they don't know how the other owners feel about it.
One of the CBS reporters said one of the members on the relocation committee said its "too little too late" regarding Burkle. LA Times reported that another member said this whole Burkle thing just seems like "grandstanding". Also, I forgot if it was Kreidler or Bizjak that said someone told him Burkle did this with multiple teams before and it never goes anywhere. It all just comes down to do the Maloofs have the the persuasion skills to get enough support since some owners are just on the fence to go either way.
