Board Changes Look

There's a black background....and the board is floating. I just hope the Boss isn't trying to metaphoric and create this new look as an illustration of the Kings "floating aimlessly on a darkened sea" :(

I don't care for the black background. Also, would it be possible to move the forum jump up a little bit more. I feel I have to scroll down at the bottom of the page to click on the forum jump option.
 
It may just be that my slow dial-up is even slower today, but it seems to be loading slower. However, that may just be one of the "benefits" of living in a rural stretch of the woods. To compensate, I've removed all pictures and animation and that has speeded it back up.

Other than the loading time, it seems to have a pleasant feel to it.
 
The top ad has gotten bigger, perhaps to generate more revenue to keep the site running smoothly?

I'm ambivalent about the border. Maybe I'll grow to like it. It certainly isn't bad.
 
Last night the border was - on my screen - over two inches on each side. It appears Jeremy has reduced it quite a bit and this actually isn't bad IMHO. I'd like edge-to-edge, too, but I think I can get used to this...

I love the idea of Corliss being in our banner.

whozit - I'm also on dial-up. I haven't noticed too much of a difference in loading time. But I use Firefox so that might make a difference, too.

not a bad choice, considering how great of a locker room presence he is...however...he likely won't even be with the kings after this season. i was thinkin' kevin martin for the banner. he may not be the "FUTURE FACE OF THE FRANCHISE," but he's the single greatest positive the kings have this season. :)
 
Corliss is a great banner choice...You know as a Kings fan it's great to see him excel again...Especially after last year when I was 100% convinced that standing O in garbagetime at the end of the season was it for him.

Martin's time will come.

I think the very fact he might not be with us next year is a great reason to have him as our "banner guy" now. Jeremy can always change it later...
 
REMINDER: Clicking on the Yahoo banner ads once in a while helps put a couple of pennies in the Kingsfans.com kitty. It's free for you - and relatively painless.

I would still prefer to see less black.

At work (right now) I have a 19" LCD widescreen monitor and 2.3" on either side is black. :(

That's almost 30% of my screen being wasted.

I'll have to check how much of it is black at home (19" traditional CRT)....

At home it's about 20% of the screen - 3 inches total of about 14.5.

I like the look, it's just got a lot of "dead" space. Maybe 0.5" on each side would still carry the "look" without wasting so much real estate.

No biggie, really....
 
The problem is that it isn't resizable, so it will be too much black space for some people with high resolution monitors and large browser windows but for people with lower resolution or smaller window size it stretches the browser window or makes them scroll.

I guess I'm lucky in that it fits my particular resolution and window size perfectly. :p
 
Uh...is it just my computer being weird, or did the board change again.

The forum layout is pretty small, and there is a pinkish-red background now.

Edit: Now the forum takes the entire page...And it seems to switch with everytime I switch pages...hmm.
 
Thanks everyone for the comments both positive and constructive. It's a work in progress so please bear with me.

Just noticed the site changed again it's looking a lot sleeker and clean. Much easier on the eyes. The only thing I wish that would happen would be if the KF logo would take you back to the forum overview page, like it used to.
 
Instead of scrolling to the top to get to the logo, you can scroll down to the bottom and use the forum jump. You can get to the "overview" or "Forums home" page and just about anywhere else in one click.

You should be able to click anywhere on the top logo and get to the forum homepage once again.
