bjax injury does not look good

Well, you had to figure the odds of running through the entire season without any significant injuries to our Top 6 were pretty slim. Pretty slim for any team. But nigh impossible for us.

Anybody got Courtney Alexander's # on speed dial? We may need points, and quick.

Here's the part in question:

Jackson will be re-evaluated Wednesday, but Adelman said his injury ``didn't look good.'' Sacramento has two more home games this week, including Thursday's meeting with East-leading Miami.

In a pinch, DC can play point ... which he's been doing a little already this season. I don't think Petrie is going to be in a rush to spend more $$$. We might want to wait until we actually hear the prognosis on Bobby before we recommend panic in the streets.

;)

It's been reported that Courtney IS already in town, and has - in fact - been spotted at games as recently as Sunday.

AND, if you go to the kings.com site and check the roster, he's listed...albeit on the injured list.

Bring on Alexander!

Word!

I wanna see what he can do! If he's healthy, I hope he gets a call.

Also, on Kings.com, I couldn't find the press release saying he had been released...Pair that with him being on the roster (as of 12-20-04)...Hmmm?? Let the speculation FLY!

Alexander is a possibility, but he may not be needed. DC can play the point, he does often enough as it is. He provides a very tough match-up for most teams, being tall enough to see over the defense. Perhaps I have more faith in Evans and Martin than most, but I would like to see them get some run with the normal rotation. They have been here, practicing with the team, they know the sets, they know the players. Courtney really never really got much chance to play with these guys while he was here. In fact, the statement dealing with his release was something to the effect of how he wouldn't be able to 'catch up' since he had missed so much time.
Mark my words, give these youngsters some opportunity and not only will they pleasantly surprise you now, but it may end up paying dividends down the road.

I really don't see anything from Flash this year. He hasn't impressed me at all, unfortunatly...But I think if Evans does get good PT, he will be impressive. I like his game alot.

But hopefully this debate remains unsolved and Bobby comes back REALLY soon!

I'd like to see Evans a bit more. High energy and athletic. Maybe a little PT would hone his game skills with the Princeton offense. Just my 2 cents.

I thought he (Flash) played very well in the pre-season, when he got the opportunity to play actual minutes with the regular guys. What can you tell from 1 or 2 minutes in garbage time with no real cohesive unit out there? In the long run, he will be a much better player than Evans (though I like Evans a lot, very athletic and a solid defender) Kevin was a very well rounded player at the college level, good basketball IQ and a feel for the game. Big adjustment from the small town college he attended to life in the NBA, but he will adjust. You watch what sort of player he turns out to be.

Can't we wait for confirmation before we start to panic?... Sheeeeesh...

I listened to Adelmans postgame conference and I didn't think it sounded as bad as some are thinking...

Calm down people....

If Kevin Martin can not play even just 5 minutes, there's something wrong with Adelman as trusting his players and rosters......

Or that Kevin was the 26th pick of the draft and may just not be ready -- certainly hasn't looked it in limited action.

Certainly SOMEBODY will have to pick up Bobby's minutes if he's out -- we have no other guards who have been playing at all, and Mike and Doug can't play 48min. But whether it will be Martin, Evans, Barnes or maybe picking up Alexander again as a proven pro is yet to be seen (as is whether Bobby's injury is seriosu enough to make any of this necesary).

I am pretty sure that RA is comfortable with a 7 man rotation.

I would like to see Evans getting more time. The more I see from him the more I like him. Compared to Flash or Barnes, Evans really looks comfortable on the floor. I do not see him making a lot of mistakes, and he does not force shots. I think with some more time on the floor he could prove to really help the team out, and that Alley-oop last night, WOW!!!! I had to rewind that like 8 times on Tivo.

That may be true, but I don't think it really matters whether he's comfortable with one or not, one of the other guards will still need to see significant minutes. You can't have a seven man rotation with Darius and Tag as #6 and #7 because they are PF/Cs and Mike, Doug and Peja would all have to play 48 min every night. SOME guard has to get some minutes.

YIKES!!!

i just got the news, GET WELL SOON BOJAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! an injury had to happen sometime this year, better sooner then later i guess.

i for one would like to see flash get some PT. now i never saw him play in college, and only saw the preseason games in china, but from the stats i saw, flash was a pretty good scorer in college, something like 24 points a game. he has looked shaky in the games he has been in so far this year ( a TO machine) but thats garbage time, that doesn't really count. i'd love to see what he can do with all the starters out there in a real NBA game.

I would like to see Evans get the time. I think he got the call last night b/c he looked pretty good in the limited minutes against the Hornets. I also notice every time he is in he is handling the ball for the team. On this team you don't need to worry about PG's b/c pretty much spots 1-3 and maybe even 4 can cut it. Besides Bjax really is more of a SG.
