I thought Gobert might have chance at BMOTN seeing as he put up solid numbers and made Anthony Davis just kind of quit. The Jazz are playing really, really good right now and it is no coincidence that it has been since Gobert returned from knee injury.

Gobert has an enormus defensive impact on the game that doesn't show up the stat lines. It is no coincidence that the Jazz 10 game win streak coincides with him returning to the lineup. He takes away the paint and allows the other players to be much more agressive on the perimeter. I wish there was a better to measure that.
