Bg 7?

Is there any chance that we can pick up Ben Gordon? He can play the 1, kmart the 2, then we will be set when we select Blake. Thoughts?

gordon is not a pg.... you might as well play martin at pg.... why do you think they drafted rose? gordon is a good player but there is no way that i would want the kings to sign him. he's monta ellis without the dumb moped injury. plus he would want some serious cash.

The order of operations for this topic are as follows, Chi-Town, NY Knicks, Oklahoma City, LAL, then and only then after all avenues are exuasted, would he consider coming to Sacramento. He is a long shot. We would be served best by drafting a player that has the potential to impact the team immediately like Griffin, Harden, Henderson, Blair, Evans. Those players are my top 5, in order.

I liked watching Ben Gordon in the playoffs too, but he doesn't make sense for this team. Actually, he doesn't make sense for most teams. And I'm not even sure he makes sense for Chicago. What do you do with a guy who's barely tall enough to play PG yet has no PG skills whatsoever? He's not a defender either. His one NBA skill is scoring and he doesn't even do that consistently until the fourth quarter. He's a closer. That's his role. You bring him in when you need some desperation points and turn him lose and he wins the game for you. Is that worth 10 or 12 million dollars a year? Well, he probably thinks so. Chicago will probably re-sign him because of his game 4 heroics and mojo and regret it in about 2 or 3 years.

I actually really like Gordon...If he was willing to come off the bench I'd consider it, but I'm not sure his ego will allow him to do such a thing.

Players like him might come off the bench for a top contender but definitely not the worst team in the league.

...and to answer the OP, we don't need a guy like Gordon. We already have Martin who has a better attitude and can light it up with the best of em.

even tho i agree that we dont necessarily need ben gordon, the big difference between gordon and martin isnt the attitude, it's that gordon is clutch, whereas martin continues to try to draw fouls in the last second and doesnt even get up a good shot. that fact get me more upset than his so called lack of defense.

I think we need a Ben Gordon type of player. He can play the 1 or the 2, and will have much more experience then any other pg or sg we bring in with the draft. I doubt we will pay him top money though. Just wondering what everyone thought.
