Just freshen up the atmosphere, I'd like to share what NBA.com considered Kings top 10 plays of last season:

I think 3-4 of those plays features Beno with his penetrate-and drop and penetrate-and-pass plays, which are a few of the skills he can clearly excel in the NBA. With comparisons to a few of our previous PGs, I think Beno is the best in penetrating the lane. Being lefty may have added some advantages.
If I were to side with Beno, I would say that he might have also been a victim of the coaching staff changes. PGs, being the floor general, normally gets to do a lot a adjustments when new coaches and new systems are introduced. Deron Williams (an exaggerated comparison) did not immediately do all-star performances on his first year under Sloan's system. And Natt was a Sloan guy, so maybe just maybe, the adjustments may have been tough on Beno.
And NBA players seldom do better than the previous season on their first years of a long contract. See Rashard Lewis, Arenas, and more. So maybe and again just maybe...we can give Beno sometime to recover. We're not yet contending anyway.
By the way, I am actually disappointed with Beno this season, just want to share a few things we can think to look on the bright side of life.
