Barnes?

He played himself out of the rotation

After that first really good game, he has done a lot of nothing. Sure, he has hustled (of course), but an inconsistant offense (at best), and having a tendancy to be out of control hurts him...Badly.

He'll probably get better as the year progresses, and he decides to play within himself. We can use his hustle!

Barnes is not quick enough at the 2, Evans has shown speed, strneth and tallnet... he earned this shot.
I thinkn Barnes is quick enough for backup 3/2 minutes, but as a starter is more of a 3. In any case though he isn't getting ANY minutes behind ANYONE right now, at the 2 or 3, and he reason is as people staed above -- he just went into a prolonged and ugly slump and Rick lost confidence in him.

Evans is a much more rounded player, He scores better, Defends Better, Rebounds Better or the Same, and we get to see crazy dunks, Evans is really strong too we could use the strength on the court for us.

Actually I think Barnes is the better rounded player -- rebounds better, passes better, can bring the ball up the court. Just shaky with the shot.

But Evans has the more mature game. Knows what he can and cannot do and plays within himself. Normally he's looked solid for us, but these last couple of games he's been able to up that to the point of actually having an impact.

barnes numbers were ridicuslously inconsistent... therefore evans got a chance to prove himself and has done so the past 2 games... even so pushing barnes out of the rotation.. if he keeps his efforts up consistently barnes will get scrub time... evans is a great player though from what ive seen in the past two games... he can defend and rebound as well as shoot... putting up consistent numbers is now what im loking for in evans to see if he can put up the same numbers in the next games....

Not sure why it took Adelman 20 games and who knows how many practices to figure out something I saw in the first game of the preseason:
Evans >>>>>>>> Barnes

Actually Evans and Barnes don't have much to do with each other. Evans is NOT replacing Barnes in the lineup. And to the degree that we're taking about SF minutes he can't -- too small, and unlike Barnes, has no real ability to pass the ball and set up teammates. In our system only Peja can really get away with that as the #1 recipient of the passes. In any case, Evans is replacing Bobby, not Barnes. What minutes Barnes does or does not get from this point out really isn't dependent on Evans at all -- its dependent on Barnes.

YYYYYUP

Barnes has been playing far too timidly on offense. In that first game he looked for a shot and was willing to take it. After that first week or so, he started trying to be strictly a passer and just sort of dissapeared slowly.
