Backup PG Search

Whats the cost? How does he help us get into the playoffs? If he doesnt, how does he help us tank (ie getting off ddr or levine). Does he help our young guys grow? Anyone who stands in the way of Keon or Carter's development should not be acquired

I do think we need a point guard (Carter is more of a combo guard) but I'm not sure it's a bad idea to give Keon, Carter, et al. some experience running the point as a backup PG. I just really don't want 37 yr old Westbrook, no disrespect.

So we already have
Schroder/Monk
LaVine/Keon/Carter
Demar/Nique

add in a Brogdon or Russ, and now not only does monk need to go, but very likely Carter as well. I don't get why this team is so against letting Carter handle some backup pg duties. 2 of Monk/Carter/Keon can share the court and Nique also has some ball handling abilities. Make sure Sabonis gets the minutes with those guys, and you have plenty of handling on the court.

We didnt need a PG in the first place, but we especially don't now with Dennis on board.

Apparently they wanted Westbrook to be the backup PG… how can anyone think Westbrook is better than monk this is embarrassing all the way around. If Perry got his way and we got Schroeder/westbrook what position was ellis or Carter gonna play? Ellis won’t be here after next season I hope y’all realize this

Im fully against Westbrook too. I can deal with Schroeder OR Westbrook. Cant take both together though. Especially when it means alienating Keon and losing him next year and pushing him further down the depth chart, or handicapping Carters development. Ideally id like carter and Keon playing together with their offense developed enough for it not to be a problem (mainly Carter's) along with Keegan and sabonis. Lavine, DDR Schroeder are in the way of that.

Better than Schroeder as well (if healthy)
In some areas, maybe. Shooting be one of em but i don’t think he’s a flat out better player at all. “If healthy” is the key here because he almost never is and even when he is, i don’t think he’s the player folks are thinking of from just 3-4 years ago.
