Article on Saer Sene

Wouldn't mind? That's all you can say? You're one crazy Burrito! ;)

I'd love to see us draft him, he's so intriguing.

he certainly is intriguing. i would be plenty open to the kings drafting him. he's a project, though, so it would still be pertinent for the kings to look into other options for the starting PF/C.

sene is clearly a center, and that much is reassuring in a draft where big men seem to be mostly players who can swing to either the 4 or 5, with few real shotblocking threats outside of the top 4 or 5 picks.

I read that the dude has a 7 foot 8 inch wingspan! That's awesome! He has tons of potential but he is really raw. My guess is that he wouldn't really help us out much for 2-3 years...I like some other players a little better in the draft but this guy definitely intrigues me. If we are able to shore up the frontcourt this year, then he would be a perfect pick as we wouldn't need him immediatley.

Draft him but then send him to Europe for a couple of years to develop. No use of him warming the bench. He would be better off developing his game.

It looks like the fundamentals are there, the seed has been planted. If I were a team interested in drafting Sene, I'd want to know where his head is at. How badly does he want to make it to and prove himself in the NBA? Some of these young guys think that once you make it, you've got it made. Does he understand how hard he has to work on his game to make up for his late start? He's pretty tough for these youngsters to handle, so he might have too many people in his ear telling him how awesome he is and distorting his view of what elite-level basketball is like. If he "gets it" and is ready to learn, then he can turn out to be quite a good player and would be worth the risk of a 1st round pick. My main concern with guys who only started playing basketball a few years ago is that they don't always understand how serious of a game this is and how much you have to love it to really succeed.
