Ron Artest and Francisco Garcia to NY

Channing Frye and Jared Jeffries to Sacramento

This trade works Salary wise

Why for Sac
Frye is young and fills a need for a big man, Jeffries at 6'11 has the height and versatility to play SF,PF and Center. Petrie likes men with versatility and with both Salmons and Jeffries we have between the two can play every position. Makes us very difficult to guard

Why for NY

Artest Factor, A big name that will say all the right things and could really help the Knicks, Plus local boy in Garcia who has alot of potential.

I would rather have traded Hart instead of Garcia but I don't see Thomas doing that.

Don't like this trade. For all his offense, Frye is a poor rebounder and Jefferies has a bloated contract.

We'd be giving up real talent for a soft big man and an overpaid journeyman. Yikes!

The ONLY player on that terrible Knicks roster that you'd want is David Lee. That's it.

.

Yeah....No more softie bigs in Sacto....

I'd rather have Lee then Frye, at least he rebounds

Just what do you consider to be a poor vs good rebounder? Frye rebounds at a pace that would average about 7-8 boards a game if given the minutes. That's not great rebounding, but it's a bit harsh to call it poor. He also blocks shots and has an offensive game. Lee is one-dimensional in that he's an excellent rebounder and that's about it. Course, after last night, Lee would be warmly welcomed in a Kings uniform. Remember Yogi?

Any way we can get Verajao from the Cavs? Hmmm...

Anyway, I don't want anyone from the Knicks, even though I'm sure Petrie can burn Isiah Thomas alive.

I consider 7-8 boards for a 6'-11 big man to be extremely, overwhelmingly, POOR. Yes, Frye's shot blocking skill is nice but it's not enough to close the deal. He's soft, afraid to mix it up inside, and prefer to face the basket. In order words, we don't need him.

If we're going to give up Artest for a big, that big man better be someone who can get 10+ boards a game in addition to good defense.

Yes, Lee is pretty one dimensional. But he is the only Knicks worth coming over to the Kings. Everyone else on that Knicks roster are overpaid and/or overrated garbage. It's not an accident that the Kings got so many easy looks against the Knicks with Curry and Frye in the middle.

Btw, we have a new Yogi Steward now. His name is Justin Williams. :)
