I will be making my very first trip up to Sacramento on April 9th. Of course I will be attending a Kings game. Kings vs. Rockets... Cant wait. Any info you guys can provide is greatly appreciated. Like where are the good places to eat and go site seeing. I am coming up from Los Angeles by the way.

Something I heard on the radio in Sacramento...

"The best place to eat in Sacramento is San Francisco." Oh man, that was harsh... but funny at the time.

But I'm not to sure about places to eat. I'm definitley not an expert in all things culinary. I have eaten at PF Chang's though. I wasn't impressed with their food, but they had a great atmosphere and great service. If you're looking for some good Chinese food minus the price tag (and atmosphere), Shanghai Garden FTW. It's on Alhambra... cross street is L St. I believe. Yum... I've heard 34th St. Bistro is pretty good, Folsom and *gasp* 34th St. But, again, I'm no expert in food.

Joe's Crab Shack is on the Sacramento River in Old Sac, it's good food and it has a nice view. I like getting to the game extra early to watch the players warm up and stuff, so I recommend that. You can go down to the court and maybe get some autographs too.

Yum... I've heard 34th St. Bistro is pretty good, Folsom and *gasp* 34th St. But, again, I'm no expert in food.

It's the "33rd Street Bistro" and it's good food at a good price.

Have fun at the game...I'll be at Staples at a Laker game on April 9th! Looking for a win for my birthday.

I went to a sports bar in Old Sacramento Town on the corner near Vlades bar/club which was pretty good and then got a cab out to Arco for about $25.00. Really enjoy the atmosphere of the town and Arco

There are a bunch of places down there that are good.

Also, Chevy's by the River is a good atmosphere too and it's close to ARCO.

I suggest Chicago Fire Pizza in old Folsom next to Power House Pub. The pizza there doesn't leave me envious of leaving Chicago. I'm still trying to find a Italian Beef (Why cannot we get a Portillo's here in Sacto???) and a Gyros place that I can say that about in Sacramento or California for that matter....oh well. The deep dish pizza is out of this world.
