Analyzing the 5-game road trip

3-2 would be logical, but you never know what 'luck' we'll catch on the road from game to game. That said, 2-3 would be halfway decent.

I hoping for a 4-1 record for these road games, with our only loss coming @ Washington. It's about time we get this road thing in order. Our record at the end of the trip: 30 wins-31 losses

Not to jinx it, but not doing to shabby on my predictions. Bucks up next, maybe we can take Dick Chenney on the road with us.:D

^You're kidding, right?

Saying "not to jinx it" is like Grant talking about Peja's free throw streak, right before it ended.

Why not wait and see what happens? Then you can proudly point to your prediction.

wow. just wow. New jersey was the game I was certain we would lose, and we blow them out? Washington was a 60/40 game, we just ahd a bad night. at least we were in it at the end. I am sold on this new team, and they will beat the Bucks. Redd won't even get the ball with artest there, and who else plays for the Bucks? Kings win by 10-15.

I think the Kings will gain confidence from beating Cavaliers, then get a little too overconfident, lose to Hawks because of complaicency (i.e. lots of turnovers and general breakdown of offense/defense), then enough is enough and they decide to get it goether...at which point they win 3 in a row on this road trip and continue the momentum down the strecth to finish with a whopping 15-0 run to finish out March 16-1. Kings are 42-31 and in 6th getting ready to spank Denver in the Playoffs!!!!

GO KINGS!

A bad night? The game was 10 am local time. These guys were still trying to find the sleep button on the alarm....

The kings have done the last thing necessary to make a true playoff push - exercise the monkey of actually winning on the road. This is gonna be a fun March! We can't lose at home, and we've even started blowing out teams on the road as well.

every streak ends

Don't get too excited now, these are mostly mediocre Eastern teams...our schedule down the homestretch isn't too bad, but I refuse to assume anything about this team from day-to-day...they've trained me to be this way.

With the exception of Atlanta, all of the "mostly mediocre" teams on this road trip are in playoff contention, and beating playoff teams on the road is something positive that can be built on, regardless of which conference they play in.

I can appreciate the philosophy of not making something out to be more than it is, but don't make it less, either.

Whether that's true or not, it doesn't change the fact that the Kings have won, on the road, despite the fact that they've been mostly mediocre all season as well.

Let's see: TJ Ford, Mo Williams, Jamal Magloire, Andrew Bogut, Bobby Simmons, Joe Smith...

It's not that I would underestimate them, but the Kings are playing the last game of a 5 game roadtrip, so I expect that they will be tired. However, I think they can still take the Bucks if they play some defense. It will be a tough game, without a doubt, but I'm hoping the Kings come out on top. I don't think they'd want to head back to Sac with a loss, it would put a damper on the great roadtrip they've had.

Although it is the last game of a 5-game trip, they have had time to rest between games. In fact, the only "back-to-back" involved very little travel time and was an early morning game followed by an evening game.

I think they're gonna come out guns a blazin' in Milwaukee. I don't think Jack Bauer... er, Ron Artest will let them do anything less.

;)

I'm pretty friggin' excited. They're playin' with confidence now on the road like they haven't all year. Make it or don't make it to the post season, this 5 game road trip was their last chance to turn things around and they've been successful. Hell, we could've very easily been 0-4 at this point, or 1-3, and the season would be over.

Ok, so I have to gloat...

Good job KingKong. I thought if the Kings had a letdown, it would definitely be against the Wizards, because of their firepower. But I could have never predicted a 4-1 trip. Wow!

Okay ... I predicted 2-3 ..... this is one time I'm TOTALLY GLAD TO BE WRONG !!!! :D

... and I'm glad I didn't put any $$$$ on it
