Farhan has a pretty good first trade deadline.
Highlight is getting rid of Melancon and his entire remaining contract. Maybe now they can resign Will Smith that they don’t owe another reliever 18 million a season.
Keeping MadBum is great, and I think they try to resign him this offseason as well. Don’t think he’s going to get a MONSTER contract from anyone and he’ll stick for a fair offer.

Very cool moment today as Mike Yastrzemski got to play in LF at Fenway Park in front of his grandfather and rest of the family.
He hit his 20th HR of the season in his third AB, then nearly knocked another one out in extra innings (ground-rule double). Played a carom off the green monster perfectly as well.

MadBum should be a Giant until he retires, and the second he announces his retirement a statue should be commissioned for what he did during Even Year Magic.
This (potential) non-move is going to alienate a lot of fans. Who are already sick of being terrible since 2015.
