A Johnny Flynn Trade.

fxhsurjono

G-League
Here's what the proposal would look like.

Kings Recieve:
Johnny Flynn
Anthony Randolph
GS 1st
T-Wolves 2nd

T-Wolves Recieve:
Monte Ellis
Beno
Nocioni

Warriors Recieve:
Kevin Martin
Corey Brewer
Ryan Gomes

I was talking to my buddy and i was trying to figure out a way to get flynn or randolph and i jst thought of this. i think this would help us in many ways, yes we give up kmart but we get a promising young randolph and flynn and 2 picks and the fact that we shed noc and beno. tell me what you guys think. i think its a real possibility.

now its reasonable teams are sending out equal salaries. we take the most players but we have room and cardinal is gonna be our permanent I.R. etan thomas can play some backup and so can claxton. we get rid of all our long term contracts, we have cardinal, kenny t, etan t, speedy all big expirings at least 5mill exp each, we'll have alot of cap by 2010, this also pushes evans to play the 2 and flynn to play the 1, we get superstar potential players in randolph and brewer will be a nice addition.

why are people so obsessed with trading for the "other" PG's we looked at drafting...

Petrie and the Maloofs are completely smitten with his Evans and they aren't gonna bring in Nate Robinson or Trade for Flynn or Rubio

i mean like i said before and the popular argument is that kmart is gonna be too old by the time we get any good so trade him now while his value is high. and bring in assets for the future and save cap.

I just can't see us getting two very promising young players and a 1st round pick, while only giving up 1 good player and two terrible contracts.

Why is everybody obsessed with putting kmart in a trade scenario? He is our future and one of the few good players we have on our team.

So, we trade KMart and Noci to dump Beno, and pickup a PG who hasn't accomplished anything, an athletic 3 (he won't be able to play 4 unless he puts on major weight) and some draft picks...

So we're all for trading KMart for the right deal... Which is a PROVEN NBA star player type. This trade has nothing in it except salary dump and prospects (which might I add doesn't help our logjam at the 3)

but all the players at the 3 are interchnagable at the 4.
who is a possible trade partner for kmart? huh yu guys really overprice him.

Trade away 3 starters for 1 starter and future draft choices? Seems nuts to me. Kings are nearly set for 09-10 with 13 contracts without BJax. This trade sets back the building process 2 years. So why even think about it? Worth a few chuckles for sure.

Martin is about to enter his prime. 26-30 is usually a players prime. you trade players like that at the end of their prime while they still got some left. 3 or 4 years down the road then you work something out if we haven't went anywhere.

who are the other 3 all i got is 10 and I don't think b-jax will be here.

Beno
Evans
Rodriquez
Martin
Garcia
Nocionni
Greene
Thompson
Hawes
Thomas

yeah forgot abotu Casspi. Brockman was a 2nd rounder so its not for certain he will have a contract. thats 11 i'd imagine our other 2 spots will go to big guys. unless Greene and Noc will be playing backup pf in order to get time to our 4 SF's

I like it, although not for the same reasons that the OP seems to.

It lets us play a complete roster, without major logjams or jerry-rigging.

We wind up with 2 full-sized PFs, at least one of whom would make an acceptable backup C, we end the SF/SG overstock, get to play our new rookie as a 2, since that seems to be his natural position, and we have a couple of definite PGs to play PG.

I much prefer that to having a combo guard in the role of PG, and playing small ball every time one of our starting bigs needs a rest.

It saves the team money, too. But i don't think it's something the FO/owners would do.

Yeah, I think I would do that. Shed bad contracts, age, softies, and I really like Randolph's potential + know we liked Flynn. Throw in a couple of draft picks and basically your entire future team is in place after next years draft.

C- Hawes 21
PF- Thompson 23
SF- Randolph 20, Greene 20, Casspi, 20?
SG- Evans 19
PG- Flynn 20

6th Cisco 29

#1 pick (ours)
#1 pick (G.S.)
#2 pick (ours)
#2 pick (Wolves)

Sign me up. Rebuild done. Get better every year.

Now here;s ther thing -- I did not bother to check whetehr this worked financially, but just eyeballing it it looks like the Wolves are picking up about $25 million in salary the Warriors $15 million, and we are walking away with something like $5mil in salary. I other words, I have real doubts its possible, and even bigger doubts that a team like Minny would take on that much new salary.

Wow, like this trade is so far from not being possible it's not funny.

Kings have 16 mil going out and like 5 coming in. Wolves have like 5 going out and 22 coming in. They are already over the cap.

Makes zero sense for the Warriors. Monta, Randolph, and a #1 for Martin, Brewer, and Ryan Gomes? I'm not sure they would trade Monta for Martin straight up.

The guys GS would be getting seem perfect for Nellie ball. Plus we'd probably have to throw KT into the deal, to make the salaries work. With appropriate filler figured out, it might end up legal & generally beneficial.

But I still don't think the FO/Maloofs would do that.

i know the salaries dont match up, i was just throwing the idea out there that maybe there are deals that we can use martin to add more assets for our future.

I plead we stop this "trade Martin now".
He's the only recognizable name in Sacramento who has been the lone consistent contributor to this team (if he's playing and healthy).

Evans has already been anointed to play as a Point Guard.
We just got a new coach, and we haven't seen how he will approach the game for these kids. And for sure Martin is already part of his game plan when he auditioned for the job. So he will surely be using Martin in his rotation along with the young big guys.

You can dream all you want about trading Martin now. But that ain't gonna happen this summer.

Still not doable for several reasons.

Try using this.

I'm with Hammer... this trade stinks for the Warriors.

I can't see the Warriors ever...

....agreeing to this. They are too much in love with Monte. Just too many pieces to this puzzle.

T-wolves fan here & first time poster with my two cents...

Are you on crack fxhsurjono?

Wolves trade:
Johnny Flynn
T-Wolves 2nd
Corey Brewer
Ryan Gomes

T-Wolves Recieve:
Monte Ellis
Beno
Nocioni

The ONLY way we give you Flynn is if we get Evans....PERIOD

Just being realistic....

Interesting (but random) Trade Proposal on Chad Ford Chat

Since the Kings were high on Flynn predraft, would they consider a deal including Kevin Martin postdraft? Maybe Flynn, Pekovic, a 2010 #1 (Wolves will probably have three) plus expirings for Martin? Kings get a true PG plus significant cap room in 2010 and Wolves save face by getting the scoring wing to play with Rubio.

That's not a bad idea and one that's possible ... I do think the Kings would move Martin for the right offer and Tyreke Evans is more of a two ... Get on the phone Khaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnn!"

This is actually somewhat reasonable. I like it because the 2010 draft is STACKED. I'd really like th Kings to get another pick in the first round.

I would love to get Randolph. His ridiculous rebound and block rates at SF would be a great complement to our young bigs.

yo K I L L E R C H E F, its possible jsut cuz youre a minny fan doesnt mean the team wouldnt pull this trade, maybe if we took GS out of the proposal and it was just straight up sac and min, i think it can work.

Because Petrie and the Maloofs have lead the team to 17 wins and little or no direction.
