Mister Slim Says:
When a man's an empty kettle
He should be on his mettle
And yet I'm torn apart
Just because I'm presumin'
That I could be kind of human
If I only had a heart
He should be on his mettle
And yet I'm torn apart
Just because I'm presumin'
That I could be kind of human
If I only had a heart
Contrary to what a vocal percentage of Kings Fans seem to believe, it's too late for the Sacramento Kings to tank. With that in mind, you would think that a team that is ostensibly in "must win" mode would show a little more heart in games where their season is more or less on the line. And, apparently, you'd be wrong. Kings are 3-7 in their last ten games: the only teams that have had a worse performance over that stretch have already been eliminated from playoff contention. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your point of view), the Trail Blazers have too much ground to make up, and the Phoenix Suns may be without Kevin Durant for an indeterminate period of time, so it's looking like Sacramento may back into the play-in ass-first.
Next up are the playoff-bound Indiana Pacers, who are bottom-third in the league in 3-point attempts, but 7th in percentage. Considering the peformance that the Kings just put on versus the worst three-point shooting team in the league, that is not exactly encouraging, but hope springs eternal. Maybe somebody besides Murray and Ellis will feel like playing some defense, and they'll catch the Pacers on a rare bad shooting night?
