This happened right near my house in Bombay. Fortunately, everyone I know is ok. It's just chaos right now, as nobody really knows much yet. Unfortunately, I'm stuck at work of all places.:(

MUMBAI, India - More than 100 people were killed on Tuesday in seven bomb explosions at rail stations and on trains in India’s financial hub, Mumbai police said.
“There are 104 dead,” a police official at the city’s central control room, who gave his name as Bhavale, told Reuters by phone.
Bombay Police Chief A.N. Roy said on Indian television that as many 100 people were feared killed and more than 250 injured.
“The blasts happened when the trains were most crowded,” said D.K Shankaran, chief secretary of the state of Maharashtra, of which Mumbai is the capital said.
There was chaos throughout the crowded rail network following the explosions, and authorities struggled to determine how many people had been killed and injured.
Television images showed injured victims sprawled on train tracks, frantically dialing their cell phones. Some of the injured were being carried away from the crash site.
The force of the blasts ripped doors and windows off carriages, and luggage and debris were strewn about.
Pranay Prabhakar, the spokesman for the Western Railway, confirmed that seven blasts had taken place. He said all trains had been suspended, and he appealed to the public to stay away from the city's train stations.
Tactic of Kashmiri militants
The blasts appeared to have come in quick succession — a common tactic employed by Kashmiri militants that have repeatedly targeted India’s cities.

The first explosion hit the train at a railway station in the northwestern suburb of Khar, said a police officer who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the media.
India’s CNN-IBN television news, which had a reporter traveling on the train, said the blast took place in a first-class car as the train was moving, ripping through the compartment and killing more than a dozen people.
Another CNN-IBN reporter said he had seen more than 20 bodies at one hospital in Mumbai, which was previously known as Bombay.
The Press Trust of India, citing railway officials, said all the blasts had hit first-class cars.
On hight alert
All of India’s major cities were reportedly on high alert following the attacks, which came hours after a series of grenade attacks by Islamic extremists killed eight people in the main city of India’s part of Kashmir.

Kashmir was divided between India and Pakistan in war after they gained independence from Britain in 1947, and they fought another full-scale conflict over the region in 1965.
But even as the two nuclear rivals have talked peace in the past two years, New Delhi has continued to accuse Pakistan of training, arming and funding the militants. Islamabad insists it only offers the rebels diplomatic and moral support.
Mumbai's commuter rail network is among the most crowded in the world.

Thanks. I'll try and keep people updated as I soon as I find out more. But I'm kinda stuck at work right now, as all the roads are jam packed, with everybody trying to get home. All phone lines and cell lines are down right now. Luckily, I managed to call home just at the right time. Will try and keep everybody posted. Thanks again for the concern.

The world's biggest cowards are those who murder innocent people... I have a hard time expressing my feelings when these things happen.

There simply aren't words to convey my feelings so I'll just echo Bricklayer:

Just never ends. :(

Please know that you and yours and all those who lost loved ones in this tragedy are in my prayers.

Let me add my relief that you and yours are OK, and my deep sorrow that we live in a world where atrocities like this keep happening.

Awful tragedy. I'm not familiar with Kashmiri, do they originate in that area?
KK-I'm glad your family and friends are OK.
Has anyone heard from bibbyweb about his family?

The death toll is now at 190 and still rising. The serial bomb blasts that occured yesterday did not carry the same impact as the 1993 serial bombs which hit several hotels and public areas. I was in boarding school in Switzerland at the time, but apparently people couldn't leave their homes for atleast a week, as Hindu- Muslim riots ensued on the streets. In the aftermath of yesterday's tradegy, things have somewhat returned back to normalcy. Some believe that it is an extremist Kashmiri Islamic group called the LeT, others believe it is linked to Al- Qaeda. I'm not sure what to believe. Anyhow, again I would like to thank everybody for their concern.

You have our prayers. I don't know how else we can help but we are here to provide moral support.
