Something that doesn't seem to get brought up nearly often enough in all of this tanking discussion is that attaining that Golden Ticket™ involves one or more years of allowing players to develop bad habits. So how do you get players to un-learn those bad habits when/if you finally get the GT?

Yeah, I don't think I fully grasped that truth until these last few weeks. Even Monk doesn't look like Monk. They should be filling those seats with complimentary tickets for Boys & Girls Club kids and anyone else who would give these guys something to play for.

I'll only say this in half-hearted defense of Doug Christie: if the front office won't give him the Vote of Confidence™ and offer him a contract extension, he kind of has to operate as if he thinks winning games can save his job. Why he thinks playing the vets will win him games is anyone's guess.

This is classic reason number 100 why the Kings have been sandwiched somewhere in between incompetence and pointlessness except for a brief stint where Vivek was "hands off". This is going to be draft Fox, sign Hill/Zbo to run the show all over. This is the same smell, so it's probably the same garbage. Vivek? Someone else? We've seen this play out before. Shortcuts all the way around.
