[Game] 55/82: Kings @ Pelicans 13 FEB 2025, 5:00pm PT/8:00pm ET

Will Nix get to play at his birthday? That's a motive for the rest of the team to demolish Pelicans and grant him a gift in his last game I guess with the team.

Update, hopefully not the Pelicans destroying us for him to find playing time

Road W by 8 is not "barely beating" a team.

Also, maybe a practice would help after firing your coach and trading your star player and incorporating now FOUR new rotation pieces.
Didn’t we have to come back from 20 down to beat them just a short while ago? Just saying.

Monk’s carelessness is not something new, it was minimized with Fox as they shared ball handling duties, but now he’s front and center and the issues are more glaring. That’s not lack of practice, that’s lack of discipline. I can understand Lavine and the new guys, ball being thrown out in offensive sets and whatnot, but I know what Monk can do, and he can be way better than what he has been showing. He has to be better.

As I wrote this he got blocked from behind for the second time this half. Why? He’s got multiple 20 point scorers on this team and driving into traffic with no plan is the best he can come up with? Please.

And credit where it’s due, this is the Monk we need all the time. When he plays the right way, he’s a pleasure to watch. Passing is his forte. Spot up shots are his strength. Just play smart and to your strengths, value the ball. It’s the simple things I want to see from him.

Terrible defense as usual allowing a depleted Pelicans to hang around. The fact that the Kings can't dominate them is concerning. It shows the Kings starting lineup inability to stop anybody in this league in terms of scoring.
While some of that is true, we are also very busy shooting ourselves in the foot every third possession with a turnover or dumb shot. The scoring potential of this team is of epic proportions, but we aren’t even close to it yet.
