I agree, but none of our current players were present for that situation back then, and I think most of our organization wasn't either. The only person who really remembers (and cares) is CJ himself.

All I really meant to say is that it doesn't surprise me one bit he decided to play against us, even though he apparently had personal reasons to be out.

That's how I remember it. CJ was my preferred pick that year too, as a "do it all guard" on offense, but the only knock on him was that he came from a small school and a weaker conference. Folks were questioning if his play and his game would hold up in the NBA.

I thought he would be good, but he turned out to be a very very good 2 guard in the league. He is very polished offensively and smooth as butter.
