Well, tough and hard fought. I think the Kings defensive issues might be overblown. The only two actual negative defenders in the starting unit are Monk and DeMar.

This squad has zero discipline on the defensive end. Too many guys run around like high school players as if they’ve never learned basics. Poorly defended 3s are the death of this team.

WTF? 40% from deep as a team with Simons going 8-12 from deep was indeed a problem.

The last three was a weird step back where Deebo was in his grill but he hit it anyways. The one before that was on a hedge by Jonas who didn’t play the pick and roll as tight as the Kings usually do because, well, he literally met the team at the airport.

-Doug's got to grow some cajones and Keon in with Keegan during crunch time. Does he want this job full-time? That's step 1. I get you have some serious long-time vets on this team. That's YOUR job as coach. Can't keep blaming roster construction and all our problems on Monte when Doug's not using the defensive weapon that could pretty much shut down our major problem.
-Offense just very disjointed, especially in the 1H. Just a team that hasn't had a practice yet and an entirely new rotation.
-Fumbled like 3 or 4 sure rebounds right into POR's hands. Just can't do it.
-Domas got his typical crap whistle. They let Camara defend like he's prime Gary Payton.
-Jval immediately a massive upgrade. He'll shoot better going forward and was a big reason this even stayed close with Domas in foul trouble.

I'd have confidence in this group with an off-season, a training camp and a way to sift through a proper rotation. This is going to be tough to do on the fly.
