I bet Ime isn't a fan to lose twice to the “lesser opponent” Kings.

I also bet KD doesn't like the fact that the Suns now overtaking them at 6th in the west.

While wins may not matter in the grand scheme of the rest of this season — I’m happy that when they come they come at the expense of opponents and players I dislike.

That’s why I could never actively root for or be a part of tanking. I just can’t root for losses against the likes of HOU, SA, LAL, GSW, BOS, etc, etc.

As Herm Edward’s once infamously said “you play to win the game”.

He's on a 50 game limit
And while there are going to be people talking about how we should cut player X so we can sign Cardwell to a full NBA deal and get around the handful of games (I think it's 5) he has to be inactive going forward, we have to remember that Vivek is not going to want to move into the luxury tax, we're skirting around the threshold, and we don't know what any deadline deals are going to do to our salary. Until we've got a handle on that, there's just no way we're going to commit to extra money just in case sitting him five games will keep us under the tax (right now, being under the tax is predicted to be worth a $14M disbursement).

Nice game in that all the rookies played well. In particular, I liked the fact that Clifford finally was given the ball more and for the first time since the summer league I thought he looked comfortable. Loved the Cardwell hustle and also loved Max's incredibly soft touch in the lane.

I liked Perry's interview. He may not have said anything new, but Drapery was trying to get him to bite on Morant or some other desperation move and Perry was having none of it. Sustainability was the word, and if he really wants sustainable it's not going to be done through vets.
