Imagine in an alternate universe, the red-hot rookies ignite the fire in the veteran legends, and together they strike the perfect balance of passion and experience, riding the city’s energy all the way into the playoffs...

... instead we got the Drew Eubanks timeline...
Playoffs? Regardless of rotations, that's a fantasy universe far far away

This organization makes no sense. Commit to youth one day, commit to vets the next. Call for more threes, shoot 80% midrange. Want to run one day. Want passing. Then want dribble the clock out the next and walk up court. Pressure defense. Then don’t. This is a disgrace and is not a rebuild it’s a dumpster fire.

This is what confuses me as well. The same people calling for the tank are upset in the game threads when the team loses.

Tanks done right involve youth, not holdover vets that will have no place on the team in years to come. The Kings are so far behind the 8 ball just relying on a pick this season is a bad bet. They need to build these young guys either for trade or development. There is nothing to be gained in either letting DeRozan and Westbrook decide every possession.

Kings gonna Kangz? Could be because he's a Mike Brown guy. If he does well it just shoves more reality under Dougs nose.
Would be nice to at least see him play but i heard James Ham say on ESPN 1320 that some things came about Carter over the last few weeks. Alleged poor eating habits and work ethic in general

That was old BS. Even Perry said something about him getting in shape and Carter did exactly that as if he ever really was out of shape. No, they're picking favs and he's not it. Somebody is scared at this point.

It's what a bunch of players who don't fit look like, inside an unintentional tank.

I guess we can be thankful that they didn't go into the season trying to tank, because they likely would have F'd that up as well

Well hell, why would you ever need to shoot an "excessive number" of threes when you've got a seven-foot nuclear weapon down there? You just need to shoot exactly enough threes to make them respect the threat of them, and open the paint for Giannis, no more and no less.

Maybe so. I just don’t think those things come out of nowhere. I don’t get the conspiracy theory here or why anyone would lie about that

Can someone explain why Carter can’t play?

Yeah if they were going into the season specifically to tank they don't bring in Schroder. They gave Domas what he wanted and ended up overpaying for role when they aren't even in the luxurious position of doing that. It was the same thing Monte did too. We'll see what Perry does from here but so far, it's a FAIL.

Now Lavine is back, so there is likely at least a full month left of it

Does Carter look out of shape? They mentioned this in the summer, like this is freaking Oliver Miller over here, lol. If Ham said it I wouldn't be surprised if that was the last thing he heard and it was July that he did.

Scott alluded to this general sentiment before the season began, essentially challenging him to condition like a professional athlete.
