Just a reminder that this is the sentiment that can in part cause an organization in desperate need, to lose out on a Franz Wagner type player by 1-2 meaningless wins

I mean, what do you want us to do? Throw the game?

We're down 3 starters and today (looks) like it was won off the back of the young guys. We've pretty well shown that the heavy DDR/Russ lead games lead to basically no wins. Do you bench Max and Cardwell now? Give Saric huge minutes? No more Keon/Nique?

We just need to hold on to Tank God Zach until he's an ender next season.

That dude is walking ping pong balls. Once he's healthy we'll start blowing these winnable games again!

Its too freaking early to tank. Season not even half over. And this is a Lottery system I cant stress this enough.

Why cant we enjoy wins? Why always negativity? Dammed if you do dammed if you dont in here.

There is no such thing as tanking this early people. Confidence is everything in nba. The team we just played against has the number 1 overall player on it and he is def not a garantee to lift them into greatness.

1st pick means nothing without a winning culture. Now if we have 10-20 games left I can understand this thinking. We dont

Bigger picture. Use strategy for the rest of this season, including what happens at the trade dead-line, to maximize their odds to not miss out on the high pick that they desperately need.

If they pull off some sort of winning stretch late in the season, or even win 1 or 2 meaningless games with a clutch closer like DeRozan, that costs them a better chance at getting a top 4 pick in this draft, are you going to be OK with that as long as the younger players are getting a lot of experience?

Many here were pissed when they missed out on Franz Wagner, knowing that with different priorities even just at the very end of that season, they could have got him. A player type they desperately needed and would have been a great fit. It could easily happen again, if there is no vision and strategy for prioritizing as high a pick as possible in this next draft

Sometimes I think people don't understand that tanking isn't a thing that players do. Tanking is a thing that front offices do.

Players play to win. They don't tank. Sometimes front offices don't set the players up for success. That's tanking.

This afternoon, the Kings were short Domas, Keegan, and LaVine. Monk came off the bench. McDermott played 19 minutes. Two-way player Cardwell played 21. From the point of view of the front office, it's pretty freaking difficult to tank harder than that. But the players had something else to say, and they competed, and they racked up 16 steals, and they shot 45% from three, and they won the game.

We should have no basis for complaint.
