3-way Den/Sac/LAL

Smills91

Starter
This deal was looked upon as pretty favorable on realgm

Kings out: Bibby, artest
Kings in: Bynum, Brown, Radmanovic, M. Evans, #19

LAL out: Bynum, Brown, Radmanovic, M. Evans, Cook, #19
LAL in: Camby, Bibby

Den out: Camby
Den in: Artest, Cook

No Radmanovic. We can't afford to take on more crap salary without at least clearing Kenny Thomas' deal.

Smills how many trades are you planing on coming up with this off season. you are up to like 30 and the playoffs aren't even over with. Anyway. Artest in Denver with Anthony and Iverson??? Denver needs role players thats it.

someone needs to keep a trade watch tab on Smills. I'm suprised he hasn't come up with a new one everyday :D

i thought he did come up with one a day... anyways, with the way hes shooting, ones bound to hit the mark. i hope its a good one

im just giving you a little ribbing smills. actually, this kings board is a little slow compared to the other forums i frequent, so its nice to see a new topic when i come look at it.

like i said, i do hope you hit that profound trade, because it might be something no one has thought of before. and if it is that good, im sure those damn sacbee kids can "peruse" (ie steal information) and compile an article of possible trades, which is bound to come to petrie.

Exactly why I throw ideas out, to start dialogue and conversations. The TDOS is incredibly slow and boring and I try to reduce those aspects of it.

If the Kings could send out KT's contract with this trade, then it would be perfect.

Maybe add KT going to the Lakers. This will free up salary for Kings, and give the Lakers more depth that they lose through this trade. Maybe if KT's contract is too much, the Lakers could drop the 1st round pick or take some 2nd round picks? (The salaries worked in the realgm trader checker with KT added going to the Lakers, but im not sure if thats actually the case.)

I think we could move Kenny Thomas but it may be for something like Jason Collins or Eric Snow or something like that. Nothing spectacular but an improvement financially nonetheless.

I don't know what will push the Lakers' button, but the Lakers most likely aren't trading Bynum for anything less than a superstar-type player. Camby and Bibby are super role players at their peak, and Bynum and then some for a combination of those two?....And I'm not even sure if the Lakers are going to deal Mo Evans, he's seemingly been a nice fit there.

As for Denver, I'm not so sure if Artest is the mold of player they want. They already have many tough players on the inside (Evans, Nene, Anthony, Najera) and adding Artest to that mix, while dangerous, may seem somewhat redundant. The Nuggets have some shooting now in Steve Blake and JR Smith, but what they really need is perhaps an upgrade at the PG spot. Cook may fit, but not Artest.

The trade seems lopsided in our favor, despite giving away two of our key components from last year....

Lakers would definitely do this. Bynum will be a great player, but it's gonna be awhile. Camby's a good player now who is definitely an upgrade over all the bigs they have now. Plus, Bibby's a huge upgrade over their current PGs. If the Lakers had Bibby in moments like that game 1 loss to the Suns, where Kobe shut down at the end, they'd be much better.

It doesn't help the financial situation much, but I like the talent we get back, not to mention that our young players finally get a chance to step in and develop without a boneheaded coach burying them in the back of the rotation for a few extra wins.

Bynum, Brown, Radmanovic, M. Evans, #19 IN
Artest + Bibby OUT

3 extra players. Will be four with our 10th pick. So, who do we get rid of?
Corliss and Pot are expirings.

Next. We get an overpayed Radman, which adds to our stash of underachievers with large contracts.

The first (mega) post in this thread by the poster Sky might be of some interest to you, Original Poster.

Haha!!

I personally find this bit funny

Jackson’s latest comments about Dennis Rodman point straight to wanting Artest. Fits the needs, triangle experience, and most importantly would not cost Odom or Bynum. First move is up to the Maloofs.
It most probably wouldn't cost you modem but I think we would ask for Bynum.

Your trade bait is not exactly great. Brown's expiring, Bynum, Farmer, Odom and pick 19 are your only trade currency. How delusional is it to think that we would trade Artest to the Lakers of all team and not ask for a Bynum or Odom.

I like, keep them coming Smills. You'll get your lovers and haters but it's good. Although, I do not like the deal because Kings don't have a solid PG yet and the trade only gets Radmanovic and Bynum. Radmanovic is not really needed. Bynum is a major project. Someone from LA must have made this deal up: bad frontcourt Bynum, Brown, Radmanovic and extra for Camby and Bibby. This sounds like lala land deals.

I didn't write that, btw.

I think Artest stays. Petrie's gonna get nothing but lowball offers for him.

Really? I was even more amused by the Kwame, #19, Sasha for Ron AND Salmons suggestion. That's a realgm homer special right there.
Yeah that also was a beauty :D

Seriously, the way I see it, LA is in a really bad position. They don't have any cap space, they have some players they really don't want to trade and those that they are prepeared to trade just aren't good enough to get anything decent.

Sasha, Cook, Radmanovic, and Mo aren't exactly what you would be willing to take on. Mo is a solid bencher but you wouldn't exactly be giving up a star in return for a combination of those.

Brown's expiring contract has some trading currency but no one is going to trade you a star for some cap room simce most teams are well over the cap anyway.

sadly, you can change "LA" with "Sacramento" and that would still be accurate... :(

I think talent wise, apart from their Kobe and Odom combo, we have pieces that would have some trading currency.

There has been interest in Bibby and I think he is tradeable. I also think that a proven coach such as Jackson or Reily or a dumb one like Thomas, would take on Artest. I think Jackson and Reily are 2 guys that can control him. There will always be someone who will take a punt on Artest.

Now we also have SAR who is tradeable despite what many would think. The only players I see as untradeable are Thomas and possibly, to a much lesser extent Miller. Everyone else does have some trading currency on the market.

LA just doesn't have that. What we have is a collection of mismatched pieces but just because they don't work well together, it doesn't mean that they will not work out in a different environment where they do match with whats already there.
