I'm trading Keegan before I even entertain Fox. Keegans personality is gonna be useless as a leader in a rebuild so might as well try something different around Fox, Domas, Deebo, Monk before you blow it up. I've said this for a while, truly think this team needs a vocal leader... I feel everyone too placid, nice, ho-hum... What ever you want to call it. Trade KM for a PF with Monks personality. This team needs a Draymond Green type in the lockerroom in the worst way.
Nah, Keegan is an excellent auxiliary piece to plug and play around whatever you have to build around. I don’t think Keegan will ever be THE guy. From his game to his personality, it’s just not there. But he plugs into any kind of roster seamlessly. Especially if he eventually starts hitting threes at an acceptable clip again. If we HAVE to trade a guy, it’s gotta be Fox.

All this talk about trading Fox, you know the next team he goes too he will be dawg all the time, it’s the Kangz way
It is what it is at that point. If he needs to be traded to light a fire, that’s not this franchises fault. And knowing his demeanor… it would be a very hot month, people lose their mind that’s he’s fully unlocked then he’s sleepwalking it all away right after.

Sad thing is most of it is on fox he’s not assertive out there but he surely does a lot of talking now well since Klutch
From my seat, DeRozan deserves way more flak than Fox. He's been straight doodoo at the end of games and stops the flow of the offense. But I see the pitchforks have been unveiled and pointed at Fox so I guess that's just how it goes. Oh well, I'll continue to root for Fox and hope he remains on the team. I'd rather see DeMar shipped out but realize the market for Fox would be much greater than for DeMar.

Trust me I’m done with Derozan and want him gone just listening to Ham right now he went over the five plays after Fox went out with five fouls. We scored three straight times in a row using Monk/Sabonis pick and roll the next two plays after were Derozan missing iso jumpers and we didn’t use the pick and roll again. Why the **** are we going away from what’s working same thing we’ve done in fourth quarters spam DD iso post ups while teams laugh at us.

On fox he’s getting flack cause he’s on podcast talking then showing up to games deferring all talk that guy is.

For the love of god trade Derozan, Ellis and picks for Cam and DFS

I thought going on podcasts and putting your foot in your mouth before not backing up those words in game was just an NFL thing. (Deebo S.) guess not.
It's hardly ever a good idea to allow that kind of distraction, when you're trying to figure out how to raise your team to another level.

Being interviewed during the season by a rival team's head idiot in Draymond Green is just a stupid move

Hmmm...care to expand on that opinion? Specifically, how is the coach not a factor in, or disconnected from, player motivation, performance, determination, desire, and involvement.
I know how you feel, but in my opinion, this team does not bring it on a consistent basis except for 1 guy. Also, as Brown has said in post game pressers, they don’t stick to details. I’m of the opinion that it falls on the players. Brown and staff has provided them with what they need to be successful. I know this because we see them perform up to their capabilities in spurts and in bunches. That means they are capable. Too many times though the effort isn’t there or attention to detail.

I respect your opinion. The underlying question remains: Why are the players behaving so? Why is only one player consistently willing to buy into what is presented to them? It seems to be a team-wide phenomenon according to your opinion and observation...and mine also. Do other teams experience this dysfunctionality toward their coach's direction and philosophy? There must be a reason.

Since we are talking about De'Aaron Fox, I have three observations. 1) The guy is really smart in many different ways. That often leads him to be arrogant on the court because he sure as heck is smarter than the refs and he knows he is bursting with talent. As a result, he antagonizes the referees and gets journeyman calls, not All-Star calls. 2) If he thinks $165 million is not enough for what he has done and will do for the team, its fans, and city of Sacramento, then you at least have to consider moving him. The returns would boost the bench immensely and also bring back future draft picks. 3) He too often plays down to the competition, which has led to multiple embarrassing losses since Mike Brown became head coach. If you are a leader, you have to come out and lead from the tipoff with fire, discipline, and concentration. Talk to your teammates, not the refs or the opposing players.

not to mention losing him for nothing would be disastrous for the franchise. You either decide you trade him now or you better be damn sure you can sign him.

just to be clear, it’s not really pitchforks to say you can’t let him walk for nothing.

Trading him away to rebuild would also be disastrous for the franchise. If we can't pull a J-Will for Bibby type deal, then we should roll with Fox for two years and see what happens. I mean, I'm not for trading Fox at all, but if we can get an obvious upgrade who immediately improves our playoff chances then sure, gotta look at the deal. I don't think that obvious upgrade is out there. If absolutely necessary we panic deal him at the deadline in '26. But that means that we have the rest of this year and enough of next year to know where things are headed before making a rash move like dumping our all-star PG who doesn't cause trouble and is happy to play in a small market just because we've had a rough start to a season.[/QUOTE]

Near depressing ending Kings-Lakers game switched channel to TNT and NBA panel discussing general state of the league. Talk about a deep dive into depression! Charles Barkley said NBA TV ratings down and then the others, Kenny, Shaq chimed in, pretty much all agreed why ratings sliding. League become little more than silly three-point shooting contest. So ridiculous two-on-one fast break now routinely produces instead of sure lay-up or fouled the spectacle of player running to three-point line and planting for gimme pass. Then jacking up low percentage three, instead of taking the easy layup. They went on to fault coaching who they said afraid of the players who have all the power. Head coach now more concerned about load management keeping players happy than actually going hard on them to win games. At least that's what I took from the banter with Barkley saying was going to "kick Adam Lefkoe's ass" (joking I think!) sitting in for E.J.o_O
I agree with Barkley. I’m kinda bored with the modern NBA game.

This morning I decided to pick a random “vintage” game and record all the shot attempts for one quarter to refresh the memory of what the games were like. The first game I saw was a 2003 bout between the Lakers with Kobe and the Rockets with Yao. Here are all the shots in order (both teams)

30 total shot attempts.
16 mid range
4 threes
4 drives or cuts
4 put backs or dunks
2 post or paint shots

Sounds like a better variety of shots but basically the modern game turned those sixteen 18 foot jumpers into sixteen 23 foot jumpers.
