Out of curiosity, were Sabonis' numbers "empty," too?
I don't think so. But... when the **** hits the fan, Domas isn't the one being asked to carry. Fox is. Fox for a very rare time didn't back it up.

sure but it starts with your main guy. If Fox wants to be a super max level player we need to see Angry Fox every single game. Not for 48 minutes but for some of it.
We are a bad team, that little streak when we beat the bottom 3 teams were fool’s gold.
Of course, but that isn't on Brown
I know it feels that way but it’s hard to be a bad team with 3 all stars. The advanced metrics have us as a 16 or 17 win team. 11th best net rating in the league. At the very least we should be 8th right now. But we have 9 games we lost by less than 5. Can’t close games out.
I don’t think so either Vivek is going to think so if we aren’t careful
Since when is that the metric for whether stats are empty or not? Is this a Personal Record Book™ situation (shout out to Stugotz)?I don't think so. But... when the **** hits the fan, Domas isn't the one being asked to carry. Fox is. Fox for a very rare time didn't back it up.

Mike Brown has lost his teamJust start Keon Ellis again, play Isaac Jones, and stop helping so much?
Shouldn't be so difficult, this team isn't bad
Fox is placing pressure on the team to put a winner on the court in order for him to resign. But at the same time, he kinda playing like a *****. Can't have it both ways.Since when is that the metric for whether stats are empty or not? Is this a Personal Record Book™ situation (shout out to Stugotz)?
Yeah, this has no look of the teams we've seen in the past in regards to the bad ones. This is a battle of top talent. You either eat or be eaten.

I do think that getting in two gritty players to energize this squad could turn the season around. The team I like to point to is Houston
Fox > Fred
Monk > Green
Deebo > Brooks
Keegan > Jabari
Sabonis > Sengun
Rockets are 18-9
you could quibble over Green/Monk this year but Jalen has been super inconsistent
same with Keegan/jabari. Both have been underwhelming offensively but Keegan is better on defense.
A long winded way of saying we are better than the rockets starting 5 on paper. Sengun and Green are considered poor defenders and yet they are one of the best defensive teams in the league. Our guys don’t get after it like they do AND Houston’s depth line Tari and en absolutely demolish the depth guys we have.
According to some, Brown spent his last bullet when he went with Monk in the starting lineup. Apparently, he "can't" change the starters now, because Monk has put up some numbers and is paid a lot
"Empty stats" used to mean something specific. And it didn't have anything to do with what either of you two is talking about. Based on the previously universally accepted definition of "empty stats," if Fox's stats are empty, then Sabonis' are, too.Fox is placing pressure on the team to put a winner on the court in order for him to resign. If Fox dropping 30-40 pieces (Lillard style) and the Kings dropping games I can see his point. But Fox has NOT been the franchise cornerstone he apparently thinks he is. I would argue Domas is more valuable to the team than Fox. Maybe dude needs some soul searching. Idk. But if Fox was who he thinks he is they would have a better record. When Jamal Murray beats Fox the way it went down, there are questions that are valid. If he thinks he is what he is, why didn't he get the ball and win the game to start
Mike Brown calling out players last game not getting the expected reaction.

Put m ISO Derozan on the bench atleast Monk provides spacing and playing making in the perimeter. Derozan does non of that and is a worse defender than monk
I’m not buying that. If the Kings can add a quality frontcourt piece at the deadline, you move Monk back to the bench and still improve the team overall. What needs to stay though regardless is Monk needs to be playing 30+mins and closing games.
if the players can't take criticism then its time to look deep within because that's the only way they can reach their ceiling of being a play-in squad
Who is your starting lineup at this point?
No it didn't. Empty stats refers to putting up numbers that don't affect the outcome of the game. If that applies to Fox, then it applies to Sabonis and DeRozan, too.Yeah, it used to mean producing in the most crucial parts of the game or not.
na, 3 all star level players, a perennial 6th man of the year and 2 great defenders and a 2 time Coach of the year does not have a play-in ceiling![]()
