Hard to blame him. The only two players worth keeping on the Kings are also PGs and will start in front of him.
To even get 6th man minutes he'd have to pair with De'Aaron for stretches. That's a very small backcourt.

To be fair, I didn't want him before I knew he didn't want to be in Sacramento.

And he's not stupid the Kings have position stacked time and again and ruined potential after potential doing it. The more things change. The reality is now a days players come into the NBA thinking about that next contract. Getting drafted as a lotto pick to be a backup is not the "in" thing. Players used to be ecstatic just getting drafted. Not anymore.

Back-up, Back-up point guard. Which will challenge his ability to develop. I thought it might be 9 for OKC’s picks but no. If we trade Fox for Simmons not sure I like the pairing with Hali as he can’t shoot but we shall see.
if there is no next move than it’s just one more to Monte’s growing list of bad moves.
