Everyone is going crazy because of fit. But he was BPA on NBA channel and his defense is sorely needed. I get that people wanted Moody or a big, but I'm not sold on either. It's a strange pick I suppose, but I don't hate it.

We've seen a LOT of strange over the years. How'd it turn out? Mitchell is a solid prospect and a player that is FUN to watch on defense. I'm sorry, I think this negatively impacts Haliburton in the end. We watched his spot handed over to freaking Harkless already.

I'm not a Mitchell fan at all, but I could accept the pick in a vacuum. But if Fox & Hali are staying why draft a backup with so many other holes and question marks?

Maybe Monte thinks Hali can fill out and play some SF down the line?

I think the Kings may have wanted Wagoner at #9 and when he went #8, they went for the a defensive Guard stud in Mitchell instead. I liked Mitchell, but how does he get into the starting lineup, unless the Kings think that Hali can eventually play some SF.

Was it the draft before last that had everyone thinking that the basketball mind has rotted away at the GM spot? Well, this one might out do it overall.

I think it means, or will soon mean, that Fox/Haliburton no longer "untouchable."
