An incredible overpay for a one dimensional player.Duncan Robinson contract is unbelievable.
Since 1999, there have been only two players 35 years or older who signed a multi-year contract with a starting salary of more than $25 million: Dirk (2 years, $50 million in 2016) and LeBron (a 2 year, $85.6 million extension earlier this season).

There are now 4
Hart doesn't fit the bill IMO. THT would be a tremendous gamble with upside. Vanderbilt would be a great upside gamble if not overpaid. Porter,Winslow those are gambles the other way right now. If it's your only move it could just as easily blow up in their face. Better than Whiteside last year since they do play valued positions.

Fine with it. Thought he played decently well, not a huge monetary commitment. Not a needle-move in the slightest, but does address position of need.

Backup center Boban Marjanovic's new deal with Dallas will be for one season, a source said. That will give him three seasons with the Mavs, who will have his full Bird rights next summer.
— Tim MacMahon (@espn_macmahon) August 2, 2021
Sacramento had non-bird rights on Harkless and were allowed to sign him to 120% off his $3.6M salary in 2020-21.
— Bobby Marks (@BobbyMarks42) August 2, 2021
The Kings still have their $9.5M midlevel exception available. https://t.co/2Q6YJd31IH
Wing Reggie Bullock has agreed to a deal with the Mavs, sources said. @TheSteinLine reported they were close.
— Tim MacMahon (@espn_macmahon) August 2, 2021
Bullock is a 39.2% career 3-point shooter. Mavs are loading up on shooters to surround Luka Doncic.
I like the Harkless signing.
Per a source: The Boston Celtics are focused on keeping their cap sheet as clean as possible for 2022 free agency. Source said they are not out on Evan Fournier, but Boston and Fournier aren't close on a deal.

Or both years non guaranteedIs that 2nd year a team option/non-guaranteed? It better be.
Because the contract is only 1 year, the max that Dallas can sign offer (without using one of their midlevel exception) is $4.2M.
— Bobby Marks (@BobbyMarks42) August 2, 2021
Boban had early bird rights (salary up to $10.4M) but would have to sign a two year contract. https://t.co/tTHw1YnevO
nice! So literally “no harm no foul.” Still have our MLE, still have rights on Davis and Holmes. Moe fits in as perfect depth. Great all around.
