I hope we lose tomorrow to the clips on a buzzer beater by Eric Gordon or something. It would make it seem as if we played well, with Tyreke getting his stats and all, but just fell short due to a low probability shot.

As much as I want a top pick.... it's still losing to the clippers. I refuse to lose to them due to poor play alone

Kings should pull out all stops to get this lin - Thompson in early foul trouble, Cisco out with the hand, Tyreke going back to the mouth piece...If Baron Davis would simply care if he wins or not in this one game, I would feel so much better, but unfortunately I don't think that is the case...

What! NO! He needs to get 20+ pts...!

Please, please, please let us lock up that wonderful third spot....

Well we know one thing for sure. If we lose the rest of our games, the worse we can end up is tied for the 3rd spot. After that all we need is a two headed coin...:)

We need to beat the Lakers and still get 3rd. That would be perfect. Maybe not feasible, but perfect. That way Paul still gets his 25-win bonus, and we beat the Lakers. :D

If we wose tonight's game, these will be the key games connected to any possible recovery:

1) GSW @LAC, April 10 - GSW's last opportunity to wose another game
2) WAS @NYK, April 12 - Long shot, but WAS could possibly wose
3) IND @WAS, April 14 - Another long shot, but WAS might wose
4) DET @MIN, April 14 - The Pistons' one good chance for another woss

I'm really hoping that we won't need to worry much about these, but the Clips' record at Arco is abysmal, so I just wanted everyone to be prepared in case we blow it.

If we win this game, my frustration level will definitely be at the boiling point. Bloody hell! The Clippers who are further along in their rebuilding still got "worse" at the trading deadline -- why couldn't we?

Um...what?

We made trades and ended up the third youngest team in the NBA. Nothing else you can or should do at that point.

Just remember for your sanity: you can't lose them all. ;)

I mean I want us to lose to get a better pick, but I mean it's the lotto it never works out the way it's suppose to. Although we are the damn Kings and nothing seems to go our way. Well I guess Tyreke went our way, but you get my point. I mean the percentages our great, but we all know that those stupid ping pong balls could fall and shaft us or they could get us the number 1 pick. I look at it as this we have a chance at a top 5 player in the draft if we lose the rest of our games remaining which looks likely. That's a good outcome stay positive next year is our year. Reke plus top 5 pick plus free agent this team is going places.

I'm a bit scared that we may end up with the 7th pick. Here's why;

I don't think the Pistons, Wizards, Warriors (unless they can beat the Clippers), or 76ers will win another game this year...and I still think we will win against Houston or @LA.

That would have us end up with 26 wins, which would tie with the 76ers...and if we lose the coin flip, we would be 7th! Or if we win 2, we could be 8th!

Or if you want to be scared, if the ping pong balls fall in line for another team, we could be 9th or 10th!!! :(

Clippers play the Warriors on Saturday, so either way, one of the teams has to lose!
Yeah, but we don't care what the Clippers do now. This was the last of their games for the year that mattered to us. They can win on Saturday, be behind us like they already are, and leave GSW ahead of us, with only strong opponents left.

We really WANT GSW to win that game!

Not true, if the Clippers lose the rest of their games and we win 2 more (doubtful, but possible) ...:(

I agree we could slip to 7th or worse, but not for the reasons you believe.

The Pistons have 3 more winnable games @ CHA, TOR, @ MIN. The first two teams they are catching on second of back to back. And last game against the Wolves may be without Al Jefferson. I see the Pistons winning at least one more game, maybe 2.

Bad news for Kings is Rockets have nothing to play for but pride. I do think teammates will want to perform well for K-Mart in his return, as will Kevin himself. But I see us as favorites in that game.

And last game @ LAL may be without Kobe, and Phil Jackson may rest ALL of top players. If that happens, we could win by default. Two more wins for us could push us below Top 5 pick.

Dubs have two TOUGH home games against Jazz and OKC. Those teams are still jockeying for playoff position. @ LAL is a toss up. Last game @ POR is likely a loss.

WAS have a couple of chances to get wins. Home v. ATL on second of back-to-back, @ NY and Knicks play night before, and home v. IND. Two more wins can be had.

Of the four teams, DET WAS, SAC, GS, we are odds on favorites to finish ahead in this pack. Bottom line is winning meaningless games can have an adverse impact on future of the franchise. Losing the next 3 games could be huge in landing us a future star, while winning could get us a non-star rotational role player. I would love to see us take advantage of this opportunity and play our bench guys long minutes (Omri 35+, Brockman 30+, May 30+) as reward for season long dedication, gauge for the off-season....and oh yeah, so we LOSE!!!!!

Evan Turner could be the next King, and we want 27 wins instead of 26? Arrgggh. Damn professional pride, I want a future all-star!!!

We were fools to think out sucking the Clips was possible.

They're gettin in the way of a good draft pick again. Dastards.

If we win 2 more, I think you're going to see this long line of people, snaking its way through Old Sacramento, waiting for their turn to jump off the bridge.
Eh, we survived the fall in the lotto from 1 to 4. If we fall from 5th to 7th or 8th record-wise, we'll be fine... Who knows, maybe on lotto day we move up this year?
