Major props to Matthew Mitcham for keeping it together and taking the gold medal in platform diving. Talk about putting in the perfect dive when it matters most. Gotta wonder if we'll ever hear anything of Hou Liang again...

Bronze medal game is on live for me on CNBC (DirecTV channel 751). I'm guessing Gold medal game will be on NBC though and likely delayed... although you'd think in the interest of getting more "live" viewers they'd show this one live. We'll see I guess.

The Bronze medal game is being carried on CNBC (DishNetwork 208) up here, too.

The Gold Medal game is going to be broadcast live on NBC on the east coast at 2:30 a.m. EDT (11:30 p.m. PDT). It will be tape-delayed on the West Coast and broadcast at 2:30 a.m. PDT. It's national coverage, so it won't change - now if you can get an eastern feed you might see it earlier...

I used to get both east and west coast major network feeds on my DirecTV, but I canceled that. Oh well, maybe I'll watch via NBCOlympics.com.

According to Bob Costas, the game will be live in all time zones in the United States; so, 0230 Eastern, 0130 Central, et cetera.

I believe that I was more moved by the gold medal accomplishment of our men's volleyball team than any other accomplishment in these olympics. I am certainly not saying it was our greatest accomplishment, but for me at least, it was the most satisfying and moving experience. Congratulations to Coach McCutcheon and his team. And again, my prayers to you and your family.

As the flame is extinguished, I can only say that this has been a very memorable Olympic Games. I have very much enjoyed the past two weeks. So, until London in 2012, to all the athletes of the world, keep working hard and we'll see you in 4 years.

As you can imagine, winter games are all that really matter to me. Call me when slopestyle is on.

While I enjoy watching some of the winter games, I am not glued to the set during that time. I will always LOVE the summer games.

My friend's cat, Apolo, lives as a constant reminder of the extent of Gadget's Winter Olympic fever. Even after that cat is no longer around, I doubt I'll be able to escape the embarrassment of my Salt Lake nuttiness.

For the first time since 1984 the games will be less than a day's drive away from me, so I'm already super excited about 2010 and the prospect of attending a few events.

I actually think a large part of the reason I am so attached to the games is because of those 84 games where I was able to attend 2 or 3 days of track and field events in person.

I was sucked in as a 9 year old during the Munich games.

I seem to put my life on hold for 2 weeks every 2 years also. I don't think I've gone to bed before 3 am for the past 2 weeks. (Lucky I work 2nd shift.)

During the '84 games, I lived right across the street from Cal State Fullerton where team handball was played, and attended the gold medal volleyball match with my dad...which the U.S. won over Brazil.
I paid 40.00 a ticket and could have sold them at the venue for 1500.00 each...which sure seemed like a lot more in '84! Needless to say, the experience was what I wanted,so I didn't sell....would I do the same today??

Lucky you, I have to catch a bus before 7:15am or I'm late to work and I think I was up til 2 every night.
