Those mass injuries really just took the sails out of the season. We look all out of sorts on offense man. Bummer.

But I'll continue to beat a dead horse. Not going to win games with a -10 3PM gap.

10 less made 3s is a joke, good chance they lose by 20 tomorrow. This version of the kings has finally broke me.
What's breaking (broken?) me is this Kings team far and away is playing the best basketball we've seen in EVERY single other area... but we don't defend the 3 and we don't make 3's. It's a coaching issue, not a player/skill issue. Fix the damn scheme.

I'm too dumb to know the X's and O's of how to fix the 3pt defense, but I simply cannot fathom how our staff goes and studies film, looks at the numbers and is just fine getting blown out at the 3pt line on a nightly basis. And no changes made.

The only thing one can hope is that the adjustment in the 2nd half defensively and playing up into the ball handler is something they maybe look to do earlier in games. Like before they get down big. The Kings gave up open 3's still, but they at least made the Nets move. DeRozan just went flat out ice cold at the worst possible time.

Injuries seemed to have really set DeRozan back. He doesn’t look the same right now and it’s not helping

edit: it’s thrown everyone off outside of Fox

Can't possibly think getting smoked at the 3pt line every game is good. 14th DEF Rtg or not
Let me put it this way, if all you knew was the guys on this roster and that we are currently ranked 13th in defensive rating (I guess we've moved up a spot since the last time I checked) wouldn't you say that the scheme seems to be working?

As for the Coach being an idiot or incapable of playing to his personnel... in the 3 years of Mike Brown this team has ranked 25th, 14th, and now 13th (so far) in defensive rating after spending the previous 16 years ranked no higher than 20. I don't like the open 3's either, but the numbers suggest our 3pt defense hasn't been the absolute disaster that we think it is.

and fix the big early deficits. Pretty hard to win when you have to “get it down to 10 by half” every night

Murray and Huerter just forgot how to shoot from 3 in November. If they shot at minimum 32% or so kings might have won half the games that they loss.

Huerter - 25%
Murray - 29%
