Doug's probably going to be focusing on those off ball screens and pin downs. The Thunder ran some very simple but clever offense in the first half.

This is probably the most Russ has got to run an offense since he was in OKC and maybe Washington.

He probably wasn’t picked up to be a primary ball handler and playmaker, but I noted when we got him that he pretty much immediately the best playmaking guard/or overall on the team. Schroder might be the best current ball handler.
Russ is the best playmaker we have had in a really long time. Love how he makes things so easy for the bigs.

It’s got me wondering if he is that good or is the rest of the team that bad. Because we are still losinng in spite of the fact that Russ is better rebounder than Murray he is best play maker we have had since rondo and puts more pressure on opposing defenses than anybody we have had since Cousins.

so I wonder what it is about Keon. It seems by most metrics the Kings are better when he is on the floor, but I get the drift from his sporadic minutes and some local media narratives that nobody is that enamored by him

DLo and KC were on the other day asking what all the Keon fanboys see that Doug Christie and Mike Brown don’t see. The suggestion being that they need to quit whining about Keon’s minutes,

And I was thinking, what don’t they see? And what does Dlo not see?

I don’t get it. What’s wrong with Keon Ellis?
He definitely has flaws. He still should be on the floor at least 20 mins because of his shooting and defense. I’m not a fan of his IQ and decision making, Austin Reaves picked him apart by just being smarter than him, and he gets bullied by stronger guards. With all that said he’s still a good player, can shoot and disruptive on the defensive end.

DLo and KC also care about "Hooper hoopers" and nonsense like that. They like flash *ahem* Russ *ahem* over substance.

Just a fundamental misunderstanding of what wins in the NBA. When he goes and makes an all nba defensive team with Boston or some other smart franchise, I'm sure there will be some other excuse about why he never would have done that here

Lavine has basically turned into Kyle Korver. Just a 3pt specialist at this point with really nothing else added. Maybe 2 sporadic drives to the basket a game if he doesn’t dribble it off his foot or something in the process.

The guy gets the about the least out of his elite athletic ability for his overall game, as anyone I've seen at this level who is a really good shooter

Who doesn't have their flaws on any Kings roster?

I don’t think LaVine is healthy. Maybe he is, but he doesn’t look like he did earlier in the year. He’s still putting up 27+PPG on 51/38/93.
