Exactly... honestly, the whole fox debacle was a disaster, but if they were able to extract a better rebuilding package in return it probably would have been the smart basketball decision. Fox/Sabonis core was only going to go so far and I do believe that max contract will be very difficult to move -- even if he is playing at a level he did with the Kings. If he starts regressing or going through a series of injuries, it then becomes a Bradley Beal type situation.

The deal we got sucked and the blame lies with Fox and his camp, if we had to do it all over I wonder if the best move wouldn't have just been sending him away from the team to get his surgery and calling his bluff. I still can't believe Spurs gave him a max deal, but I don't think they'd have been able to do that next year as a free agent or if they'd have wanted to after landing another lotto win so would he have gone there for 25million? Houston is already making decisions to move on from talented players. As poorly as this roster is constructed we have been good about maintaining flexibility and holding our assets save for that stupid pick swap for Deebo. Still that's far enough away we should just focus on making sure it doesn't matter.
