Are you kidding me? Robinson Traded?

Even if TRob blows up to 12/8 (and I doubt it), I'm still ok with this trade. We simply need a big guy that can body up the opposing center and protects the rim. I don't know if Aldrich is that guy but he has the potential to be. TRob, on the other hand, will never be a big body who protects the rim. So in terms of fit, we just got two guys who fit better next to Cousins.

Don't sleep on Patterson, he has shown some flashes. He certainly has adjusted to the NBA better thus far better than TRob.

It will be interesting to see the chemistry between Cousins and Patterson.

Very weird trade. Although, the only thing I like from Patrick Patterson from what I've seen is his ability to spread the floor with his jump shot and some post moves. Other than that, his rebounding is weak compared to T-Rob. And I just realized that we have 3 guys now that were coached by Calipari. DMC should be happy reuniting with an old teammate.

Patterson is a 3rd year player. No crap he's adjusted better, he's had more time to do it. TRob was improving as the season went along, showing flashes of being a rebounding machine.

This came out of nowhere. i thought for sure the FO was going to be sitting on their hands until the ownership situation was figured out.

Are you freaking kidding me!!!!!

Absolutely pathetic. I mean, what the freaking hell is this kind of deal?

Looking forward to watching Trob tear it up in Houston. Go to hell Petrie....

George blew the 30 mil over the all star weekend on hookers and blow. they need cash now and can't get a loan on their pay checks.

I can see the future - We dish out JT money to keep Patterson, and enter an eternity of time with a DMC/JT/PP rotation, which is fine if you hate defense.

If we were going to trade Trob for a big it needed to be a shotblocker. Or trade him for a guard/SF, don't trade him for a guy that could potentially occupy a spot on your roster for years when he's not what you need.

This deal will make us better for the second half of this season. It will. But why the hell does that matter at this point?

Are you freaking kidding me??? Aldrich has the potential to be a blob of crap sitting on his couch once his rookie contract has expired. Thats it end of story. this was a trade to get patterson so Smart can have his PF with an outside shot to open up lanes for Reke and the post for Cousins. why we couldn't just swap Robinson for Patterson i don't know. douglas is crap Aldrich is crap. Patterson rebounds about as good as Reke. We just dumped $4mil though maybe that has alot to do with it. Not much change Aldrich and Douglas are gone end of year if not this week lol.

Fact is that both guys are likely nothing more than off the bench role players and as-needed starters. It's not like we're trading away the next Al Horford.

I thought TRob was redundant with JT anyway but this trade makes no sense. First of all I am surprised any trades were allowed since the team has no real owner at the moment. Second, this is the best we could get for a top 5 pick in his rookie year? ANOTHER PG, a nonrebounding PF, and bench fodder? We somehow are now even more unbalanced.

This was not a FO trade idea. This one came from ownership. Just like the draft pick of Robinson came from ownership.
I'm firmly of the belief that the Maloofs are evil and actually have a vendetta against Sac, and maybe it did cross my mind that this trade is just to ruin the franchise for the fans in the future

What kind of organization trades the 5th pick mid-rookie year, who 1. Improved over the year and 2. Wasn't causing major locker room/off court problems. This deal is an absolute disgrace and I can't wait to see Trob be properly developed on Houston.
