If we're talking about Petrie's mistakes, he sure does have a bunch of them within the last couple years. The biggest one of recent memory is Jimmer Fredette and John Salmons. Why we didn't simply stay in our shoes and draft Brandon Knight, I'll never know. He fell right too us, and we had to screw the whole thing up with a deal that makes ZERO sense. Petrie thinking that Jimmer could play point guard is a joke too. Almost as bad was taking Tyreke over Curry or Rubio. Sure, Curry has his injury issues, and Rubio had the whole overseas thing, but it appears that good things come to those that wait. Rubio and Curry are LEGIT point guards, while Tyreke is a player without a position. Tyreke isn't a PG, and his outside shot isn't consistent enough for a SG. He's a bit undersized at SF, and he needs the ball to really be effective.
The worst thing that could possibly happen was Tyreke having the rookie year that he had. It turned out to be fools gold.
