A least there is progress this year, slowly but progress

Every team you mentioned traded for top 20 players in the league and all but 1 have already fired their coach. That's EXACTLY what all us pissed off posters are yelling for. You have just proven our point.
You apparently have no idea what you are talking about. If I may ask, how old are you? Have you actualy seen any of this? NONE of those teams traded for Top 20 players except Boston. None of them. Some drafted guys (which we are in line to do), some signed free agents (whihc we have the money to do). Only 1 traded for them (using BTW exactly what we have in spades: piles of young kids and draft picks).

Technically Miami traded what essential amounts to their first round draft pick for the next ten years for Bosh and LeBron so they could lock them up for another year. And obviously, Thabo Sefalosha is a top 20 player in the NBA.

Boston, Miami, San Antonio, and Orlando all have the same coach as before they got really good.

Are some people actually trying to argue that this team is making progress this year?

Are you serious? Are you freakin' kidding me? Oh my god.

Seriously, dude, in every post you make, you somehow find a way to turn the truth into an illusion.

There is a such thing as due criticism, and the Kings are way overdue for some.
If you don't like what I have to say, then just put me on ignore, it's that simple

I have tried to stay optimistic as much as I can this season, but I think this game really changed things. As much as I hate to admit it, I don't see any progress. I really hope they pick it up soon as the schedule is just going to be tougher.

There's also such a thing as being able to see through a cloud of anger to be able to notice growth in individual players. If you were to tell me that Evans/Cousins would shoot 7-31 and that the warriors needed an Horry 3 to take it to OT, I would have called you crazy.
Growth isn't always measured in wins and losses. A well earned B- on a test is progress too. Or maybe kids nowadays only like easy As.

There was absolutely no individual progress last night. None. Beno had a great game, but unfortunately for Beno Draino, he isn't part of our long-term plans (at least, not as a starter, at least). Evans was terrible. Cousins kept trying to take it on his shoulders and shoot as soon as he got the ball because he was afraid that he would never get it back. No one would move. There was no rotation on O or D. We made mistakes that a high school player would have been embarrassed of.

I do see progress in Cousins (other than last night), so I guess you can take that as a positive. But until the coach is gone, there will be NO more progress this season, I can guarantee that. They are FLAT OUT NOT listening to him, AT ALL! You can see it in his eyes...he tells them to do one thing, and they do the COMPLETE other!

I couldn't disagree with you more. I saw Tyreke Evans play much better than he has over the last several weeks. He played "the right way", the team way, not the Tyreke way. He played his heart out last night. What did he have - 10 rebounds? He bought into what the coach was telling him. He passed the ball up the court when he was in the backcourt. He whipped it around the perimeter without taking a dribble. He minimized his dribbling with the ball in which he doesn't go toward the basket. Did he make key turnovers down the stretch? Yes. But at least the errors were done in ltrying to run the offense rather than the selfish Tyreke ball that we've been seeing. If Tyreke can continue to put the team ahead of himself and play as hard as he did last night, this team has a bright, bright future.

Funny how people didnt notice it was Cuz who keyed the run to put the Kings up 16. It wasn't his offense, it was his defense. He was beasting it big time with blocks, taking charges and picking up the guards driving the lanes forcing misses.

I think they meant making progress from where they were a few weeks or a month ago, not progress from where they were last year.
That is exactly what I have been saying, and it is true. Not enough progress but slow progress. Don't knock it, it could get worse. This is a critical time for the team. Hold your breath.

You mean the Kings have NOT been getting criticism? Give me a break. Everybody including me is giving them criticism. Now it's your turn, criticize them again.

Hell call me crazy but even after last night I see the progress for the players, not the coach, but definately the players. This loss is the one that will probably frustrate them the most and it's on them to respond accoridingly.

Also for those who don't see progress for the players or team, did anybody see Donte Greene in OT draw a foul and actually hit BOTH FT's? Progress:)

Thanks for your guarantee. But I think your dead wrong. Hang in there with them, they're getting close. They may turn and get worse but I hope not. Recent play gives me hope they're moving in the right direction.

More like, watch us get the #1 pick, then the league goes into a lockout and the draft falls apart :( :( :(
The draft takes place before the the old CBA expires, so the lockout won't affect the draft. Not to pick on you, but this is an example of someone not knowing the rules, but just throwing out crap for the hell of it. Lets try basing our posts in fact and not fantasy that sounds good or backs up ouir emotions.

Ahhhh, and actual post dealing with the details. God forbid that we actually analyize what went wrong and why. In the last 5 minutes of the game, everytime Cousins got the ball, which wasn't that many times, he stood there and looked for cutters. Does anyone remember any player moving without the ball? I watched the game twice, and believe me it was hard to watch the end again. But everytime he got the ball, everyone else just stood there and looked at him. No one even moved in his direction so he could pass the ball to them. So he was left with two choices. Shoot the ball from where he was, or drive to the basket. I'm surprised that he didn't take one jumpshot in the entire game that I can remember. Should make all you live in the post guys happy.

There's noi doubt that Cousins had a rough night. He was doubled and even trippled almost everytime he had the ball. That should work to the Kings advantage, but only if everyone else moves and cuts. For the most part, no one did. I'm sure Cousins feels badly about not grabbing that last rebound, but it should never have come to that. Beno, who had a great game shoud never have taken that 3pt shot with 12 seconds left on the shot clock and only around 30 seconds left on the game clock. The Kings never should have fouled two 3pt shooters and put them on the line. Why were the Kings trying to defend the basket with two seconds left on the clock when the only thing that could hurt them was a 3 pt shot. Why didn't Westphal call a timeout before that play to set up a defense against the 3pt shot, and put in personel that were quicker. There's plenty of blame to go around in this one, but ultimately, I'm puttin this one on Westphal. To not call a timeout with the game on the line is just plain criminal. I can't think of one good head coach in the league that wouldn't have called a timeout in that situation. Unbelievable!

It's amazing. Even in pickup games in my neighborhood we always set screens for cutters and if people don't move without the ball they get yelled at like there's no tomorrow. What the hell do these guys do in practice? Standing around the perimeter and waiting for something to happen would get you cut from a middle-school team.

Right. It truly is amazing. It is impossible to understand how this can happen with almost grown men, no matter how young and inexperienced. In the past I have blamed Cousins, in crunch time, for just putting his head down and driving to disaster but last night in crunch time he actually stood there rather patiently looking for cutters left and right before he gave up, put his down and drove to disaster. No cutters. No movement. Unbelieveable.

I didn't see this game (thankfully I guess) but I've felt the same way about timeouts in the last 3 or 4 games I've seen. There have been points in all of those games where the wheels were clearly falling off and a timeout was needed to regroup but no timeout came. I can't imagine why Westphal would let his players play 7 or 8 minutes of bad fourth quarter basketball without thinking he needs to do something about it. How your team plays in the fourth quarter is pretty important if you want to be winning games.

Apparently Westphal didnt wanna call a timeout in the closing minutes of the 4th because the Warriors were out of timeouts, and he didnt want to give them the opportunity to come out with a play drawn.

I was obviously kidding, and was just writing about the worst possible thing that could ever happen to this team, even though it's not actual possible (if you looked to who I was replying to, it would make more sense). But hey, since we're the Kings and cursed, who knows!

And I don't mean to pick on YOU but...

You called me out for a basing our posts on fact, and after you said you watched the game twice, you probably should have known that it was Garcia who shot that 3 with 12 seconds on the clock, not Beno. Tsk tsk
