Given our attendance situation, and as Baja said, the interest that Cousins has generated, and the need to put butts in seats, I have a hard time seeing Big Cuz coming off the bench to begin the season. I do think they will limit his minutes, though. But really, with all the hype he's gotten (and I'm sure will get as the season approaches), comments from national figures, etc., I just can't imagine him not in the starting lineup opening night.
To me, the interesting question is: do they start Landry at the 4, or go with the monster front line of Cousins and Dally? I'm kind of really excited to see what kind of defense we can put together with Reke, Garcia, Donte, Dally, and Big Cuz all on the floor at the same time. I have a hard time seeing anyone score in bunches against us with that lineup, or get any kind of offensive rhythm. That kind of size has the ability to kind of break your confidence. There's no way anyone would be able to get any kind of rhythm with post scoring. And our perimeter defense has what could be called two elite defenders. Probably the main adjustment/switch that would have to happen would be Donte or Garcia cheating over and pestering the other teams quicker PFs.
