I was named Employee of the Quarter for 4th quarter 2009. Runner-up for Employee of the Year. Some people would be pleased by this, to me, it's the ultimate backhanded compliment. Nothing like a reminder that you don't have a real job.

Goodbye Scrubs

After 8 seasons with the regulars, and another season with the 'Med School' group, it seems (from what I read) Scrubs is going to go silently off the air.

Too bad on two fronts.

1: Season 8 (What I thought was the Series Finale) ended perfectly with a JD daydream of him and Elliot's potential life together and other 'happy endings' of his whole Sacred Heart career.

2: Season 9 'Med School' largely disappointed. Twas mildly amusing, but not great.
But the last episode made me want another season. Turk/Cole would be a good odd couple, seeds were sown over new rocky interesting Scrubs-love stories. If they would have started these season ending storylines earlier the show could possibly have been preserved for another season.

As I predicted, sad to see the show get canceled off after season 9, and wish it would have let go after what I thought was a 'Perfect' ending.

Without knowing the facts I could be way off-base, but if you paid with PayPal and - for whatever reason - didn't get your purchase, you can get your money back.

Somebody explain to me why I can't get wings at a chicken place? I mean, I can get Parmesan garlic wings at a pizza place (Pizza Hut), I can get them at a burger joint (Rallys), but I can't get them at Popeye's? I can't get them at Church's? I can't get them at Bojangles? I can't get them at ****ing KFC? What the **** is that about?

Let me try to go about this sensitively.

I think I was discriminated against one time out in Capital Heights MD. I went to buy some spicy chicken at KFC and the girl at the register rolled her eyes and told me they were out! Hospitality, ha!

If anyone knows anything about the demographics of the situation they would probably be rollin' on the floor right now. :D

I just made a delicious grilled/steamed jalapeno-bacon burger.

I used jalapeno juice as the base of the steam, threw a cover to contain said steam, then once it mixed with the burger juice I threw the bacon in the get its juices going. Then melted the cheese, and threw the jalapenos on so they would also get a nice char.

If anyone has seen Man Vs. Food the Burger From Hell in Amarillo, TX, episode you know where I got my idea.

Continuing my wholly un-needed spending spree of the weekend...

I just bought my favorite videogame from my childhood on EBay to put into my newly refound (hopefully still working) SNES.

Secret of Mana.
Fingers crossed that---> A: I actually get the game from whoever was selling, and B: I can make my old system work without more money spent.

I freakin' loved that game.
Ive played the game on emulators throughout the years, but everytime I started maxing out my characters/weapons/spells either the emulator crashed, or the computer did.

I figured I should just get the real game and not deal with the damn crashes!

I remember when I had this game at like 8 or so years old I maxed a bunch out, then got a Playstation 1, then proceeded to sell all my original SNES stuff at a garage-sale.
Secret of Mana gone...
Final Fantasy 6 gone...
Zelda gone...

So many good games gone in a youngin's ignorant sellout! lol
Tis a shame to this day...
:p

I tend to cycle through those stages of regret. I wish I still had Final Fantasy II, Illusion of Gaia, New Horizons...

And now I'm selling off my D&D stuff!

Oh crap.

I'll regret that in five years.
