Kings SUCKED tonight. To many turnovers...19 and 30 points off turnovers. Tyreke missed way too many layups. Can't win on the road when the Kings shoot 37%.

I had a chance to go see Avatar, instead I choose to see the Kings game. Damn, was I stupid.....stupid. Won't make that same mistake twice.

I think the pairing of Reke and Martin can and will work (though its too early to be sure).

I'm just waiting for the onslaught of people that will blame Kevin for Tyreke's abysmal night. Tonight was truly a rookie moment for Reke.

Too much family distractions
I think this just might be a valid point. His brother made a reference somewhere - TWitter? - about him perhaps being tired because of all the visiting he'd done. In addition, it seems like Evans just doesn't play his best ball when Mom & Grandmom are in the front row. Much like Martin doesn't play his best when his dad is around...

Tonight may not have been Reke's night but there were initial signs that having Martin out there is going to open it up more for Evans...and it was nice to see Reke looking for the open man when the paint got clogged.

I have a bad feeling about this east coast trip and returning martin into the lineup! Offense was totally stopped. Evans is limping over middle court practicly every possesion, even when we are behind and 2 min left he is no hurry!!! Kings must play faster, because we can not win the ball game on the defensive end!

Look, this played out almost exactly like I predicted it would, Kevin returned, everybody else was disrupted. But one game alone is not decisive, and one game alone for one player (Reke -- who I noted struggled when his family was in town over the holidays too) playing back in his hometown is even less decisive. Too many variables.

Hawes must be the softest starting center in the league. Dalambert looked like an all star against him.
Yup. Samuel Freaking Dalembert. Hawes is terrible on defense, and he has no reason to be other than he's mentally soft. If you put Brockman's brain inside Spencer's body, you'd have an allstar. Instead you have a giant marshmallow.

I think saying 'Everybody else was disrupted' is a little harsh. Especially if your blaming the disruption on Martin.

Jason Thompson played one of the best statistical games of his career. 19 point, 16 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 blocks. Hawes scored 14 points. Beno played like Beno has been playing.

Its probly the best we have seen Hawes and Thompson play together all year. It seems like one night one of them will play good, then it flip flops night after night. At least on offense they both showed up. Of course, there defense was terrible but it has been all year. Cant blame there lack of D on the return of Martin because they have been playing that kind of defense all season.

Evans was bad. And its hard for me to say his poor play was because Martin was back. Evans shot 3-13 and a lot of those misses were layups. Shots he can make. He just didnt for whatever reason.

Casspi wasnt effective tonight either. Cant say I know why.

This game went down exactly how the last 10 or so games have been. We kept the game semi close then blew it big time to start the fourth and couldnt dig out of it. Udoka and Nocioni came in and were terrible.

Its hard to say Martin changed anything at all, IMO. We just played bad. And we've been playing bad.

1) Casspi took 6 shots and was not involved offensively. Reason? Kevin is back and Omri has been knocked down the food chain.
2) Beno took 7 shots and was passive off the bench? Reason deferring to Kevin.
3) Donte got no minutes. Reason? Kevin took them.

These are very obvious.

Now questionable one was: Reke = shaky. Reason: ? At the beginning of the season Kevin was a major problem foir him, because he deferred too much asd was passive. This game? Not sure. May have been gameplacn. May have been being back home. May have been a number of things. Need to see more.

As an aside, Jason's game had little to do with Kevin, but in the third in particular Spencer did benefit from his presence, and specifically something that we are not likely to see often -- them having to double Kevin because Iverson can't guard anyone. Specner was the guy they doubled off of.

I have to admit you were right.Unfortunately.Greene's demotion was immiditae. I don't have anything against Kevin Martin but from this first game it looks like he is going to eliminate Casspi and Donte. If this is how it will be with him eating one guy's minutes and the other guy's shots/confidence it is no good. There is more defence with Donte and Omri playing together.

BTW, Spencer should get Bargnani's number and ask him how he managed to transform his frame from angel hair pasta to something that on the occasion bothers even D12. Hawes annoys me alot, for those of you who haven't noticed.

I missed the game because I needed to get an MRI. Looks like I probably had more fun with the MRI than you guys did watching the game.
