I can do the Wednesday's game but I can't do the friday and Saturday
---------------------------------------------------------------------
When you need to stop a losing streak - you can always count on Wolves. They rarely disappoint and they almost always deliver. So Kings stopped the 4 game losing streak and improved to 10-12 and 9-2 at home. Don't really need to remind you that Kings last season won their 10th game on January 14th and their 11th on February 1st. So we are way ahead of schedule. In the meanwhile Kings have another 4 games in 5 nights set and they will try to do better than last time which can't be too hard since they can't do worse than 0-4. Kings will also play 4 out of the next 5 games on the road. Good chance to improve the very poor road secord that we currently hold.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rest of December is very busy for the Kings with 9 games in 15 days. After visiting Portland team and dealing with their megastar starting center Joel"I will have 20 rebounds" Przybilla, Kings will play an BSPN game at home against the Wizards who have Early "never missed a shot against the Kings" Boykins./ After the day off caused by not being cool enoough for TNT Kings will go to Minnesota where Jefferson will again wipe off the floor with Hawes and it still won't be enough for sucky Wolves to win one. Finally, the 4th game in 5 nights is completed in Milwaukee where it will come to the ROY showdown but it won't be nearly as excited as Dan Gadzuric shoot free throws. 2-2 would be nice, 1-3 expected.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
FT shooting allergies continuing. Against the Wolves we shot blistering 63%. That is way worse than the Spurs shot from downtown the other night against us. I think that the problems are a mixture of lack of shooting talent, lack of concentration and rushing. Still anything below 75% for a season is pretty pathetic for a professional team. It is alike when you go to a certified mechanic and he can't change tire - just way worse.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I picked 3 match ups from the last game that I thought - they would be interesting. Evans beat up on Flynn bad as we expected. It wasn't even close. It was a collision between a pickup truck and KIA. KIA lost. Same but opposite happened in the Jefferson vs Hawes matchup again - as we all expected. Spencer looked like a little boy out there. And again as expected - Kings got their but kicked by the FT line. At least the opponent can play "hack a anybody" strategy and it is guaranteed to work.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Despite all this Kings had no trouble whatsoever beating wannabe NBA team from Minneapolis. We took them lightly in the beginning but we have a coach now and things settled down quickly. We still managed to allow 100 points and we played very sloppy in the last quarter. Shawn May is our Darko aka human victory cigar
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
AWARD TIME
TDM - Ramon Sessions came of the bench and burned us a bit. A moderate and meaningless TDM
LW-VC - Kevin Love - little tougher version of Spencer Hawes. Equally irrelevant
JHA - Donte was pretty awful
RA&1 - Flynn sponsored by Evans
JAX/WALK - Donte Greene
WTF moment of the game - Kings FT shooting
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Portland is strong at home and that is exactly where they arrived after a long road trip. Such things tend to go 2 ways. Either they will be hungry and kick out but or they will be littll tired and fail to adjust in which case we have a chance. They have injury problems just like we do but tehy are very deep. Here are some matchups that couls be interesting(another poll please !)
Joel vs "Jeff Foster" in other word - will Joel catch 20 rebounds.
Evans vs Roy - they might not guard each other or better say Roy might not guard Evans but they are somewhat similar players. Can Tyreeke get another scalp ?
Aldridge vs Thompson - who will stay out of foul trouble and hit more midrange jumpers
Howard vs Thomas for the SAR-Metuselah award
Bayless vs TDM award
Kings vs FT line - in other words taking advantage of theory of big numbers
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Evans - jump shot away kid
Greene - inconsistent
Noc - trade
Thompson - nice
Hawes - not so nice
Beno - solid
Casspi - impressive
rest - mateen
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Portland 14-11, 8th in the WC, 8-4 at home playing better as of late struggling with injuries (Fernandez, Outlaw, Oden). They have a wild crowd and enough talent to cause us all kind of trouble. I do believe that we can compete but to win this game we have to hit FTs. Bayless will get the TDM. Howard wil get the LW-VC and SAR - Metuselah. Kings need to win this game to keep the consistency(4L-4W-4L-4W).
