For the final pick of round 3, I'm going with the one remaining sci-fi series I would actually change plans to be sure and see...

I enjoyed the original but the remake totally blew me away on a regular basis.

Battlestar Galactica - 2004-2009

I don't know if I'll ever watch all the episodes of this next series, considering how long it's been on, how many have been made, etc. but I'm sure I'll find a lot of episodes to enjoy. With the first pick of the 4th round, I'm going with...

Biography - 1987 to ????

For my next pick....I'm reaching for an ensemble show.

The West Wing (1999-2006)

The storylines here followed the mythical presidency of Josiah Bartlett and his White House staff. Who doesnt love Martin Sheen?!? Another fast paced show with the dialogue to match. I missed Rob Lowe when he left and the curmudgeonly Chief of Staff John Spencer when he passed away untimely midseries. But it was a fascinating look at how the staff in the White House makes the world go 'round.

Sheen rocked this for me, but as far as ensembles go, this cast was most excellent.

Well, originally, I was going to draft a completely different show here, but I would be a fool to pass this opportunity and one of my best friends would assault me violently, if I drafted another show.

Futurama (1999 - Present)

The other big Matt Groening show. In the beginning overshadowed by the Simpsons, but by now its following has, I believe, increased and it has become somewhat of an internet darling, if such a thing exists. Anyway, as I said, couldn't be passed up anymore, should probably have gone even higher. Great characters, great stories, great gags and even though I'm afraid that my list might become to comedy heavy, a great addition to said list.

I'm officially out of touch, apparently. I'm continually surprised by how many shows I've never seen...or heard of, for that matter.
It is on showtime. But I do not get it and have always netflixed each season. It is really funny, you should check it out.

Wiki-
It was the highest rated series for Showtime its first year; its fourth-season premiere attracted 1.3 million viewers to Showtime, the channel's highest-ever viewership; the season as a whole averaged 962,000 viewers. Showtime announced on July 18, 2008 that two more seasons of thirteen episodes each will be produced. Season 5 premiered to 1.2 million viewers, with a rerun on the same night adding another 500,000 viewers for a cumulative 1.7 million.
It is about a widowed suburban housewife that resorts to selling and growing pot in order to support her family.

Yeah, same here. Don't feel bad, you aren't alone! That is one reason I did not sign up for this.

Insert insult of choice here.
I'll stick with son of a monkey, if you don't mind. Also, I'd like to promise to steer clear of things from your list, but as you've apparently got impeccably good taste (at least judging by your irateness about my picks) I can do no such thing, sorry. ;)

Wow. That's the nicest way of saying, "Oh, waaaaaaaah. Tough noogies" I think I've ever seen.

BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY (1993-1997)

No sense delaying the inevitable...I'm giving up a lot of good picks here, but I'd be pretty upset to lose Bill. The show is pretty old at this point, but my students still love it. In fact, Bill can entertain kids at pretty much every level. He made learning about science cool and spawned plenty of copycat science shows. I found out recently that Bill started as a sketch comedian....another reason to like him!

BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY (1993-1997)
About time. I had specifically left this off my list because it was already made clear that you were going to be taking it, but if you'd let it fall any further it would have been my next pick.

I still remember the episode that had The Presidents of the United States of America singing a science-y version of "Peaches," and the resulting awarding of double cool points. Rare when it happens, but Presidents became even more awesome in my eyes for being on the show, and the show also became more awesome for having them. It really was a thrilling moment.

Next Pick:

Comedy? Check.
Science? ...kinda.
Robots? Of course.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: 1988-1999

And there was much rejoicing.
Yay.

And kingsnation - no dice. We need a third party to work out Star Trek.

Thanks! I made a list this time, which seems to have helped. Sadly, I've had to cross quite a few off my list thanks to everyone else.
