Glad you posted that -- VF21 PMd me with your request to have that added, but software limitations meant there was nothing I could do wihtout a recent post of yours somewhere on the board from which to work.

They'll have to do something standing up all day, with all that hot asphalt. Still be unpleasant if they believe in bare feet, too. :p

Sorry for the wait everyone. I went to San Francisco today and waited 2 1/2 hours to get into the Academy of Sciences:mad:. It was pretty cool though. Anywho, on to my pick, and as I already chose my jailer, time to take my prison. With my second pick of the Island of Pain and Misery Draft I select:

Inescapable solitary confinement in a 4'x4'x4' steel subterranean box (Catacomb style prison).



I will henceforth and forever be without sunlight, fresh air, sights, sounds, and communication from the outside world with an immortal evil monster to torment me for eternity. I will also never be able to stand or lie flat again:eek:.

wouldnt this be considered something that could kill you since without sunlight you would get ill and die?

People can live without sunlight indefinitely (see here for an awful/extreme case). Plus, if I do get deathly ill Cthulhu is an immortal godlike monster, he could keep me alive magically too if/when he wished...

I think for the sake of the integrity of this game we'd better say that there is a grate at the top of that 4x4 box otherwise everybody is going to be choosing magical beasties to let them get around the no death rule.

Still would think that like the tiny island, being stuck in a 4x4x4 cell would necessarily restrict the remaining choices however.

Oh, interesting potential stumbling block, especially when it comes time to vote. Are you suggesting that since he has now limited his environment to the 4x4x4 cell any subsequent picks would have to be able to fit into said tiny space?

I actually think the idea of picks being subject to continuity within each person's island is an interesting twist.

That is just my environment, not the whole island. I could still pick things to be on the island, I just would have no contact with them without Cthulhu's consent/will...However, I was planning to chose things that I could still interact with within the confines of solitary confinement in my cell anyway :).

Since EndGame timed out, I will proceed.

My island is beset by a constant Category 5 hurricane and storm surge - at least periodically (if not constantly) flooding my low-lying island. It is perpetually dark, cold, wet, incredibly loud, and I am constantly beset by winds in excess of 156 mph. Lightning is striking my island frequently. Nothing can stand in it's wrath.



I am not having a good time.

Well my island is inhabited by millions of african killer ants, some of which of the soldiers can be up to 1 inch.

There have been cases of people and elephants being eaten alive by these things.

They also have extremely painful bites.

Ants.. EVERYWHERE GAH

I assume that they would not eat you alive though, just bite you a lot, and make things wiggly and crunchy underfoot?

wiggly and crunchy underfoot? more like walking barefoot on searing hot thumbtacks that feel like millions of spiders swarming your feet and running up your legs faster than you can pick them off, and even when you do pick em off their jaws are still embedded in your legs :p
